Segway Rally
Following a very clear briefing we were let loose on a cordoned area to put the theory into practice. Having squashed the cones it was on to the rally track, the location of which was a little disappointing, hence the 4 stars. This was still great fun though, spills and thrills sums it up! Unfortunately it all had to come to and end, but what great fun it was.

The day was cold but expectations were high. I was the oldest competitor at 50 while my daughter was the youngest at 15. Our South African trainer had the patter and soon realised the gene pool for this batch of would-be rally-ists was extremely limited. However, from the mid-way point the Segway felt more like an extension of our own robocop bodies and it seemed as if we were thinking our way around bends at speed, up hills and through mud splashes. I never did get to overtake my wife in a safe zone but I came close a couple of times. We returned to the warmth of our car, to a flask of hot coffee and a chocolate muffin elated and proudly displaying our certificates of Segway competence!

Segway Rally
Three of us set off early on a Sunday morning to try out these unique machines for the first time. We were given detailed instructions, and helped to learn the simple intuative controls. We were soon confident, and headed off to the short off-road circuit. We were shown potential hazards, shown how to control the Segway up a steep hill, and then let loose to wizz around the circuit. The Segway team took great care of us, and we really enjoyed the Segway experience.

Segway Rally
This was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday morning. The Segways are brilliant fun - I want one now. Even my girlfriend got the hang of one and loved it.The instructors were friendly and helpful. Couldn't have been better (well maybe it could have been a bit drier and warmer)

I had a brilliant time on my segway experience. As a 58 year old gentleman, I was worried I'd be the oldest one there, but there was a whole range of people taking part. The introduction and practice session was very informative, and I was made to feel at ease and confident about the segway immediately. The rally course wasn't as large as expected but was ample in terms of twists and turns and challenges. My experience was on a brisk November day, but now I can't wait to return in the summer - Hopefully, I'll see you ther.

Having never been on a Segway before, I was both nervous and excited about my Segway Rally experience. The two guys leading the day were both very friendly and approachable so asking questions or taking time to get to grips with the Segway were not a problem. The guys were very enthusiastic about getting everyone on the Segways and maximising the time you could spend on the track. Even the shortlived rain shower couldn't dampen the spirits of the day. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone and I personally can't wait to get on another Segway!

We had a great morning, and I really enjoyed the experience. If I were to be critical, I would just say that the circuit in the woods was a little short, making it almost impossible to go the speed you want to without either holding someone up, or having to stay behind someone else.

I arrived with my wife before the previous session had finished so was able to get a preview of what was to come. It was worth waiting. The basic training was sound and the tutors were considerate and patient in teaching us. I soon got the basic rudiments and then we all set off to the woods! It was great fun doing laps around the woodland trail and under close supervision there was the opportunity for overtaking or being overtaken with the emphasis on safety. Had there been more time I could have improved my lap times but what I did was very satisfying. I was given this by my daughter for my 70th birthday present and I would recommend it to all ages male or female.

It's very rare to see a mode of transport, and have no idea how to control it. This was a lot of fun, and definitely like nothing I've ever done. Highly recommended fun for everyone!

I was really looking forward to my Segway Rally day but even I had not anticipated how fantastic an experience it would be. From the start you are taken through all the safety procedures and shown how to operate the machine. The staff are friendly and very helpful and do their utmost to get you up and running as soon as possible. Furthermore, the gouping of six people means that it just the right size to keep it manageable. The Segway machines are amazing, and once you have learnt how to switch off your compulsion to balance and just let the thing do what it does best - keep you upright - you are away. It is exhilarating. Excellent.

Somewhat tragically, my life's ambition (now achieved aged 28 3/4) was to ride a Segway. Segway rallying provided that opportunity, generously donated as a birthday present by my girlfriend. Having arrived at the site, we were kitted out with safety gear by the two very professional instructors then talked through an introduction to the machine and its capabilities. Next it was time to mount the Segway and do some basic manoeuvres in the gravel car park, negotiating a slalom course and such. There was a Segway each, so no waiting around - awesome! Once everyone had mastered the basics, it was a short ride to the off-road track - basically a mini-moto track. A brief walk-through then twelve laps of 'racing'. Doesn't sound that much, but felt like plenty and the legs were aching by then! After the race, a flat out run back to the starting point and certificate presentation. In all, brilliant fun activity, professional, friendly instructors at a great facility - highly recommended!

There were five of us in my party and we all had so much fun - easy to use and good for a laugh. Some fell off but it adds to the fun. We will all do it again soon. Thanks for a great day.

My friend booked this for the 2 of us as a birthday treat as we both enjoy trying different things. Well it certainly was different and what a great birthday present! The Segways were suprisingly easy to use once we got the hang of them and very good fun! I even got the chance to indulge my competitive streak with the 10 lap race round the track! A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, now I just want a Segway of my own!
