Aerobatic Stunt Flying

Price: £125
Duration: 30 mins
Ref: XSFIA

  • An amazing aerobatic flying sequence in a high-performance training plane
  • Loops, rolls and stall turns in mid flight
  • Take the controls (if you dare!) with the expert supervision of your instructor
  • Just don't eat a big meal beforehand!

Nerves of steel and a stomach of solid rock? Then aerobatic flying is for you. The experience starts with your feet firmly on the ground during a comprehensive briefing. You'll chat through any specific requirements with your instructor so that the flight can be tailored to what you want (and how brave you're feeling). Then climb aboard your plane, either a British Slingsby Firefly, Chipmunk or modern light aircraft such as a Cessna. Once airborne, your expert instructor will show you what it can do - so hang on tight for a breathtaking full aerobatic sequence including rolls, loops and stall turns. Then if you want to have a go (and we're pretty sure that you will) your instructor will hand over the controls and you can experience the thrill of flying a plane. Back on terra firma, collect your aerobatics certificate.

More information

Participant Guidelines: Restrictions for this experience vary according to venue. As a rule, if you are under 16, weigh over 14 stone or are more than 6' tall, please check your suitability with us prior to booking.
Weather: Aerobatic flying is very weather dependent. It is crucial that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled because of bad weather you'll be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
Duration: Chocks-off to chocks-on flight time is 20 to 30 minutes, but please allow for longer at the centre.
Numbers On Day: Only you and the pilot will be in the plane. The briefing session may be shared.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera or a pair of binoculars will come in handy - there will be some great photo opportunities with your plane. Pets are not permitted at airfields.
Dress Code: Wear flat, soft-soled shoes. Any special clothing and headsets will be provided. Bring sunblock and a hat in summer, and gloves in cold weather. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Availability: Many venues operate seven days a week, subject to weather conditions. Spring to autumn are the most popular times of year. We generally recommend booking several weeks in advance, even earlier for summer weekend dates.
Other Info: We suggest that you only have a very light meal or don't eat at all before your flight (a hearty meal beforehand may make you feel nauseous). Similarly, please don't drink alcohol before you fly - it will make you sick.
