Best Day Ever, I Will Never Forget It
It was totally amazing, James the technician was fab and really helped me throughout the session by being so encouraging and patient with me! It has made me even more sure now that this is what I want to do with my life. I am so glad my sister thought of this as a present for me. Thank you to everyone who made this such a special day for me, I will never forget it and have the disc to show for it!
A very special friend of mine bought me the recording studio experience as a gift for Christmas. I used to sing a lot when I was younger but have never thought about doing something like this. The whole experience was fantastic. Simon at the studio made me feel incredibly relaxed, was really helpful and I managed to put two songs down on a CD that I am really proud of! When I eventually have children I'll have something for them to listen to! It's so exciting! All my friends and family are very excited about having me on their ipods... Super stardom awaits! :)
I got my daughter this experience for Christmas and I think it was an experience she will never forget. The engineer (Rory) made her very comfortable and relaxed. She enjoyed every minute of it, so much in fact that she wants to do it again. Thanks for making a 14 year old very happy and a dad very proud!
Worth every penny, the whole day was amazing and I came out with a very professional sounding CD that made my dad cry. 110% the best present anyone has got me!
A relaxed atmosphere, which calmed my nerves! Jason (the recording technician) had a special interest in acoustic guitar, and set up great microphones to help me make the best of the songs I'd chosen to perform. I was really happy with the sound of my guitar; less happy with my singing, as I was recovering from a cough. There was plenty of time to record the two songs, and I'd love to go back and do more, especially feeling that I understand more about the possibilities (and limitations) of the session. Thank you!!!!
I have always wanted to do this, and the time I had in the studio was brilliant. I recorded two songs and the whole experience was just awesome ! Just wanted to say a huge thanks to the producer who I had helping me on the day as he was great and made me feel very relaxed.
It was a most exciting and enjoyable experience, not just for my daughter but for me and her dad as well. It was just what she needed, having spent most of last year in and out of hospital. She is slowly rebuilding her life and this experience day went a long way in helping her to regain her confidence. Her recordings were abosolutely fantastic and her music teacher at school is very impressed witnh her CD. I have talked endlessly at work about the day and the studio staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I'm sure a return visit will be planned in the near future. I Just Want To Do It All Over Again!
This is something I've always dreamed of doing, so for my 21st birthday my parents bought me this experience and I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my life! For anyone like me who is constantly singing, imagining they were in a recording studio, by going on this experience I actually felt like a star for the three hours I was there. It was truly unbelievable - a feeling I am never going to forget. I just wish I could go back next weekend...
What An Amazing Experience!!
When they show you popstars recording on TV, you can't imagine it really is the same as what you've done on the day. You walk outside after and suddenly return to reality. The best part was if you're prepared and ready to just give it a go, you can squeeze in 3 songs and give yourself a bit of variety in genre. This is an amazing opportunity, especially for those who love to sing to their heart's content in the shower! You are well looked after, it's easy, pain-free and definitely something I would look into doing again. All I have to do now is convince Simon Cowell so he can pay for it...
A One Day Experience That Will Last For Years!!
It is well worth the money and is actually far cheaper than many other recording studios. It is in a good location and easy to find. It was a very useful insight into how the recording business works. The final result of three hours of fun is a great CD which has been cut to a high standard. After you have taken a few cuts of the song you want to do you sit down and pick the best bits to create a final cut! My voice has never sounded so good! Great day out and fun for all age ranges but a great experience for any aspiring musician!
I was given this for my birthday from a group of friends, and it was a really unusual but fun present! Basically I got to record 3 different songs at a professional recording studio; you can do as many takes as you want and get 3 hours with a sound engineer (who was so nice!) so if you like singing or are debating going into the music business as a profession and want a taster, I'd definitely recommend it! You can do any songs you want - I did two pop songs and one track from a musical. The tracks sound really professional and I got all 3 on a CD to take home. Really fun, 10/10!
Daughter Enjoyed Her Day And Felt Very Special
My 10 year old daughter felt very excited about her recording experience day as she had been 2 years before and had come away with special memories of her special day with her special CD. Thinking the experience would not be topped this time, my daughter said she had enjoyed this time even more. Both times she was treated as a person in her own right making decisions on what she wanted to sing and how she wanted to sing the songs. Taking advice and working with Jonathan to create a lovely CD, which sounds professional and fun.The three hours passed with my daughter recording 3 songs onto the CD. The Derbyshire recording studio is in a lovely part of the area with lots to do if you wanted to make a short break of the experience as we did. Every one at the studio was both friendly and helpful.
What An Awesome Experience!
Having never done anything like this before (not even karaoke!) I was extremely nervous, and quite honestly, not particularly looking forward to this experience however my friends bought it for me as a 40th birthday present and not wanting to disappoint them I thought I should go through with it. How wrong was I!! My sound engineer, John was a lovely guy who made me feel so relaxed and at ease. He showed me around the studios and all the technology that's used in sound production and then it was down to me - EEK!! I ran through my song 3 times, we chose the best recording then John wove his magic! We tweaked the recording here and there altering a few flat notes along the way and the final version is fantastic. I am so proud of myself. I loved every minute and seriously wanted to stay there all day. I would recommend this experience to everyone. It's not just for wannabe singers as I expected it to be. It's a fantastic experience and GREAT FUN!!!

Opened My Eyes To A Whole New World
An experience of a lifetime, and I had a great time, would love to do it again. Was able to record 3 great songs and got an insight to life behind the mixing desk. The guy at the controls gave me some direction, and was very supportive and encouraging. All I would say is, practice is very important before you go, and make sure that you know that there may be variations on the backing tracks that you choose. But these guys are professional and work through anything you are unsure of...once again had a brilliant time...

Thank you so much for providing such a welcoming and well equipped Recording Studio for our special day. The owner, Rory, was also very polite and flexible to whatever we wanted to do. His knowledge and expertise made it very easy for us to feel comfortable in a very unfamiliar environment. I would highly recommend this experience as a wonderful gift for those of you that want to get a taste of being a recording star for the day. The developing process of building a song and the quality of the final cut has left us with a professional quality CD. The most important thing out of the day for us, is that we now have and will always have the songs that we wanted, recorded how we could only dream of and a memory that will last throughout our lifetimes. You Are Never Too Old To Rock And Roll
The whole experience was brilliant; a present for my 50th - I do a bit of amateur singing and play guitar, mostly covers, so took this opportunity to record 3 original songs with my wife on backing keyboards. The studio staff were brilliant, very supportive and helped us through the session and we did it! Whilst I won't be giving up my day job I realised a dream and confirmed 'you are never too old to Rock and Roll!' Well done Red Letter Days!

What A Great Way To Spend A Sunday Afternoon
We were made really welcome by on arrival and the recording room was big enough to accommodate 5, although there is also an adjacent lounge for bigger parties. After a couple of run throughs to check the backing tracks and recording levels, we were off! Managed to record 3 tracks in the three hours, the final one being mixed from just two attempts!! The sound engineer was very entertaining and encouraging, and made everyone feel very relaxed. I would recommend to anyone who fancies themselves as a budding rock star (even at 59!)

The guys at the studio make you feel extremely welcome and relaxed. Not only was the recording fun, but gives an excellent insight into the recording industry and how professional singers and bands work.

An Experience That Everyone Should Do!
This was such a fun experience that everyone should have a go. You don't have to be a singer, I'm not!! The people at the studio were great! They made me and my family feel really welcome and put me at ease quickly as I was a nervous wreck! I now have a wonderful CD that I'm really proud of and will last forever. It's unique, it's fantastic and it's everlasting. I recommend that everyone should have a go.
A Must For Anyone Who Loves To Sing!
I had a great 3 hour session where I managed to record 3 songs. After a discussion about what songs to sing, I recorded each one 3 times and then we edited them to pull the best bits from each song. Great fun, and brilliant to have your own disc to take away at the end of it. Really friendly and helpful in the recording studio, and I would absolutely recommend it to people who love to (and can!) sing. Great fun.
Fantastic Day In The Studio
Was very nervous before I went for this singing experience but once I got in there and knew what was going to happen I relaxed. It was nice to get to hear the music first, so I could just work out the song in my head and then sing each song about 3 or 4 times. The songs were then split into parts and I listened to each part of the song for 3 different times to see which one was the best and then put it altogether. Had time to sing two songs and got to bring a CD home of the day. Was such an enjoyable day and am so glad that my friends bought this experience for me for my 30th birthday.
A Great Experience, Well Worth Doing
I am the first to admit that I am not a great singer but enjoy karaoke and generally singing. This experience has made me feel good about myself, it gave me confidence and now I have my own CD to cherish and share with friends. We were made to feel very welcome and I was really put at ease before I started recording. I would definitely in time like to do this again. A memorable experience.
I had a fantastic time. The guy at the studio was very friendly and explained everything in detail. Once I'd recorded the song 8 times he mixed it all together, getting rid of the bad bits and leaving me with a CD of my song. He even made cups of coffee to keep me and my guests going. All in all a great time and I'd love to do it again.

I bought this as a gift for my partner for his birthday and we had the best day ever. Neil sang two of his all time best songs and both were put onto a disc. A Great Experience That I Never Thought I'd Have
Although I was nervous at first, I eventually settled in to the experience and thought I should just enjoy it as it's not something I've ever done before. The people in the studio were really friendly and explained how everything worked. They made you feel at home but at the same time were very laid back with what you wanted to do and the decisions about each take. It was really interesting to see how all the work comes together at the end of the day. I was really pleased to walk out clutching a CD with 2 of our own compositions on. It really makes you feel proud of what you have achieved.
An Incredible Experience I'll Remember Forever
I had an amazing day, it was a dream come true. I have always loved singing and will sing no matter where I am. was made to feel comfortable and relaxed and my confidence grew with each take. Hearing my own voice professionally recorded was incredible. I now have the confidence to consider pursuing a music career, something I have always wanted to do. I will definitely be going to the recording studios again. I can't recommend this experience enough for anyone who loves to sing.

I had a great time. This was bought for me by my brother as a bit of fun for my 30th. I've sung in the pub a few times when I've had a few but never seriously. When I arrived at the studios the atmosphere was very chilled and relaxed and our host was the same. When I explained my singing was done mainly in bars he went and got me a beer (happy days)! I sang and now have a CD that's not that bad to show off. Excellent day thanks!

Once In A Lifetime Opportunity
The nerves had set in but once we were there it was easy to forget and just enjoy the day! The X factor we are not but we did eventually sing in tune. We had a real laugh and learnt loads about the industry.
