Really well organised. I had a lot of contact with Red Letter Days and found my queries answered really well; the day itself was really well put together and the people were lovely and put you at ease!
I was asked by my grandma to sing at her funeral, as we both adore 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston. I knew I could not do this on the day, so my husband purchased the recording experience. I was so nervous but the technician Vicky was really nice, made me feel at ease and was even using thumbs up to tell me it was good. She used all the techniques to ensure you heard all my good points when singing, even though I have had no coaching or singing lessons, I have been able to make my grandmother's dream come true! When my grandmother heard it she cried and she was so thankful to my fab hubby for doing this and making not only her dream come true but for enabling me to still sing this song for her on the day, when it comes. The staff was so warm, approachable and made the experience a dream I will never forget.
Brilliant all round, the studio people were fab, they made my day so much fun and helped me get the best out of everything. A great gift, something I have wanted to do for ages and it was worth the wait - fabulous experience.
Fantastic Opportunity, A Real Professional Setting
I was made to feel like a genuine, talented professional - even though I'm not! - and every opportunity was provided to practise and improve my musical performance. I was genuinely surprised at the quality that the sound engineer was able to get from my singing and playing. The disc will be circulated among my friends and family - whether they want a copy or not!
One Of The Proudest Moments
I got this as a gift for my step-daughter who can sing and it was a very special day. The sound engineer was great and made her feel so relaxed. We recorded the whole experience and we listened to the one track on the CD that she recorded all the way home over and over again cause it could have been a CD that we brought in HMV. I would recommend this to everyone that has a interest in singing cause it gives you a insight into the recording industry.
The Experience Of A Lifetime
My friends and I arrived at the studio very excited, our technician Simon introduced himself and we were then taken to the recording studio. We listened to the song's soundtrack first, then I was taken through to the actual sound proof room where the equipment was set up for me. I sang through my chosen song to practice, then sang it a further 3 times. My friend video taped me through the whole thing. After the third time I listened to the three versions, and Simon then very cleverly broke the song down into little parts and I chose the best bits from each of the 3 recordings. After listening through the finished version, Simon then went off to record it onto CD, which was presented to me with my name on the front and the title of the song I sang. It was a fab experience!
A Memory My 11 Year Old Daughter Will Never Forget
Christmas present for my daughter. She took her friend and for the day they felt like stars. They had the most amazing time and the CD has not been off the CD player since. I am so glad I decided to purchase this for her and when she is 16 I may book again for a birthday party of the same nature.
The recording studio was great - it was an opportunity to be a recording artist for a day, and thoroughly enjoyable.
I Really Felt Like A Pop Star
It was just fantastic, Oscar, who looked after us, was so kind and a wonderful warm man. He answered all our questions , even the daft ones, with great patience, and explained what he was doing all along. Nothing was too much trouble. I really felt like a pop-star and now have my own CD...wow !! Thank You to my Auntie Jo & JT, to the people at Red Letter Days, to Oscar in the Studio and ...ummmm...to Simon Cowell on my new recording contract?!
It's never easy going to a recording studio for the first time but I was made to feel extremely welcome which calmed my nerves and made my experience very pleasurable indeed. Well done.
Shaking with nerves I entered the booth and with the headphones on, my backing track started to play and there I was, transported into the world of a recording artist. With anticipation I sang the first few lines and something started to take over me and my nerves subsided. I was singing my heart out and did not want to stop. Once I'd laid down a few tracks it was time to listen to my attempts and pick out the lines that sounded just right to edit together to complete my record. Then there I was making my way home with my own recording that I could keep for a lifetime and play for friends and family. I would recommend it to anyone who feels in their hearts that they have a voice and can enjoy such an experience for themselves with a result that can be shared with the people they wish to share it with.

No Better Way To Spend Couple Of Hours!
Had a great time, took my son with me to play guitar and he can't wait to go back! Something different, everyone should try it, you don't even have to be any good, it's amazing what a good sound technician can do for you!!

The quality of the recording was amazing and the whole session was fantastic. I felt like a pop star! The music technician was very professional and friendly. I was so pleased with the final outcome, it was far better than I expected it to be! I would highly recommend it to anyone!
An Exciting And Memorable Experience
I really enjoyed myself!! I'm not deluded in thinking that I can sing but it was great to get an insight into what happens behind the scene in the music industry! A must do again experience! Will pass on the word!

Great, Felt Like I Had Been Doing It For Years!
The engineer was very helpful and explained how it would run: 3 takes, master the best vocal lines together and master on to a disk. It took under an hour, and I think the engineer was impressed as it was my first time in a studio and would like perhaps to do more one day. All in all a first class day, thank you to all involved!!
