Beginner's Full Day Golf Lesson with a PGA Pro

I had never swung a club and this experience was perfect. The pro was really helpful and taught us the absolute basics for the short game and analysed our swings in a full afternoon of driving. It has really sparked my interest in golf!

This was a fantastic gift for my 50th birthday, as a person who had never even considered golf and had never held a club, I came away having had a fantastic time, learnt something new and have great memories what more can you ask from a gift!

This was a well organised, relaxed and thoroughly professional learning event. Pitched exactly at the correct level for my needs. The venue is perfect for the structure of the event. The golf pro was also a very good trainer and we had a lot of fun, as well as learning about the disciplines and etiquette of the game. I would recommend this as excellent value to anyone thinking about taking up the game.

The day was excellent, from the venue to the quality of the tuition and the structure of the day. Tim the Golf Pro was excellent, patient, friendly and very good at communicating the basics of Golf. I really felt I had learned a lot in one day.

The tuition was first class and the activities were changed at the right time. As a golf beginner it was great to get an overview of the main techniques of the game and I really enjoyed it.

A thoroughly enjoyable day. The facilities were excellent and all the key parts of the game were addressed with just the right amount of time spent on each. The golf pro was excellent, being knowledgeable and patient and gave some really good advice. I would definitely recommend the day to others.

This day was very well organised and extremely helpful to my game, would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to take the game up!

Location in Worsley was most enjoyable, 2 hours of swinging, hitting balls, going through the clubs, tips and advice, lunch, afternoon short game with more tips and advice. Really enjoyed being in a group, though it didn't feel being in a group. Very good value for a beginner like me. The pro was helpful, answered any questions and made you feel at ease.

The whole day was excellent, from beginning to end. The teaching pro was first class and I learnt a great deal. The teaching facilities were great, particularly the video recording and subsequent analysis of my swing. The whole day has re-awakened by interest in golf.

The golf pro that I had for the day was amazing, the enthusiasm and passion he showed all day was contagious. Even though there were six of us in the group it really felt like I had received one on one training. The whole day was perfect from start to finish and I would recommend this experience to anyone who has just started learning to play golf or if you have never even picked up a club. I have brought back so many new things to try on the golf course.

The people I met were great; we met at The Mariott Hanbury in Ware, which was beautiful ... the weather turned out to be spectacular. Our coach was so methodical, understanding and helpful, I learnt more in just the morning than I have at all the times that I've been to the driving range with friends. Somehow our coach also managed to make the day really personalised, even though there were 6 of us present. Lunch was great. Thank you for such a great day.

What an tremendous day we all had. The quality of the surroundings made you feel proud just to be there and the pro Steve was a friendly guy who was genuinely interested in you as a person, he made us feel very welcome from the first shake of the hands. After a enjoyable chat with all the guys we headed out to the practice green which I was really looking forward to, Steve let us all have a few putts and then gave feedback and then the fun really started. The drills he got us working to were inspirational, e.g blind putting, ten balls in a box and many more and before too long we were all putting better and rolling the ball with distance control. After an hour or so it was over to the practice green for some short game challenges and tips, again this was exceptional, the dream continued with Steve taking us on to the Championship course for 6 holes, what a privilege.

A very good day. We learnt all the basics of golf under an excellent teacher. I now feel that I can go and play golf without embarrassing myself! I always wanted to play golf but booking lessons seemed too much hassle but thanks to Red Letter Days, after just one day I now have the hobby I'd always wanted.

Tuition was in a group of 4-6 but individual, graduated and well-structured. Each person was shown separately what they were doing wrong and what they should be doing instead. All benefited from this one-to-one approach and each was surprised by how well we were striking the ball by the end of the day. Better value than six separate lessons.

An excellent day's golf tuition. The setting for the masterclass at the Marriott Hotel in Chepstow was superb. The instructor was extremely helpful and very patient with me as I was a complete novice, and by the end of the day I had mastered the basics and I am really looking forward to trying out my new skills.

Brilliant day, very enjoyable. The pro was fantastic and helped in every way possible. From 9.30 to 4.00 pm he was always giving hints and tips to the whole group and some of his stories were extremely funny. he staff were friendly and welcoming and lunch was superb. Would have no hesitation in recomending this day.

Our PGA tutor was great and provided good coaching and feedback. It was also a good bunch of people in the group and I really enjoyed the day. Managed to get plenty of practice and I am amazed of the difference it made for someone who never played golf before.

I have hacked my way around a few golf courses with disastrous results; the knowledge gained from one lesson with a PGA pro was unbelievable and the easy teaching method used was easy to understand and follow, no jargon, plain and simple with demonstration for every part of the lesson.

An excellently organised day. The facilities were first class, as was the helpfulness of all staff I encountered during the day. The PGA Professional was an excellent tutor who had an expert knowledge of the game. He was very understanding of the pathetic attempts of this novice to master the intricacies of golf and gave excellent individual tuition. A DAY TO REMEMBER.

An exellent day which was educational, entertaining and great fun.The golf professional made the whole experience very enjoyable and as well as giving everyone individual time managed to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere from which we all benefited. The location was of the highest standard and I would recommend this to anybody who wants to improve their game and have a great day out.

Excellent coach with a good teaching manner. About the right length with emphasis on the golf swing. Felt I learnt a lot and saw significant improvement.

I enjoyed an excellent day in wonderful surroundings with great facilities at the Marriott Golf Academy. The pro was as an excellent and very patient instructor who was amiable and informative throughout the day.

The day at the Marriott golf academy was excellent, the pro was very helpful and passed on a lot of information and advice on my technique (or lack of it)!

This experience was brilliant. Having wished to try golf for a number of years I found this experience gave me the basic instructions and ability to play the game while going at a steady pace which was very good. I am really considering taking up the sport now and definitely want to practice it more.

I enjoyed a well structured day of golf as a complete beginner. Our teacher was excellent and I appreciated that the emphasis was on having fun rather than the technical aspects of the game.

You could quickly see that the advice you were being given had a big positive effect on the aspects of your game. I've definitely improved since my coaching.
