Great evening - the organiser had a great sense of humour which set the evening off superbly. He was also extremely knowledgable. We sat on a table of 10 and we all gelled together really quickly, had a real laugh and picked up loads of tips at the same time.
Enjoyable from start to finish. The evening fairly flew by and despite the freely flowing wine we did remember some of the important issues regarding wines and their origins.

An Experience To Be Remembered!
This was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had. The host was very lively and the evening was full of entertainment and laughter. I bought this as a birthday gift for my girlfriend (now my fiance). I made arrangements with the venue staff prior to arriving and they were extremely helpful and catering to my needs. They set up one of the outdoor tea houses located in the gardens with flowers, candles and champagne. At dinner I received a discreet 'thumbs up' from one of the staff, informing me that the candles had been lit. After dinner we went for a stroll in the gardens and to the tea house where I proposed to my fiance. We will never forget this experience. It was a beautiful way to end such a happy day.
What A Wonderful Experience!!!!
We had this experience for our 6th wedding anniversary. We can honestly say that we were well and truly entertained and looked after. We learned about wine, how to tell where it was from and the quality and so on. The meal afterward was amazing - the courses never seemed to end. The hotel was gorgeous, lots of attention to detail and lovely gestures, for example small bottles of mineral water in the rooms. The staff were attentive and the overall hospitality was superb. Can't wait for 7 years now.
Super Fun And Educational Too - Loved It
I was bought this as a birthday gift but I have to admit I was a little bit dubious before I went wondering how they would fill the 3 hour session before dinner ... I needn't have worried, the time flew by and it was really good fun, the host really held everyones attention with his witty chatter and he was really knowledgable. The dinner was superb, it was a set menu (again I was slightly dubious) but it exceeded my expectations by miles, as did the whole evening. I chose Barnett Hill in Guildford as the venue - stunning place set in 24 acres of land - definitely try the walks, I'd also recommend staying an extra night to enable you to make the most of this fantastic experience.
We travelled by train to Guildford, with a short taxi journey to Barnett Hill, as we came towards the house we were impressed by the location and an imposing house. The evening was well organised, the host Francis was professional and had a good sense of humour. We enjoyed the company of our fellow wine tasters and enjoyed very much the company of those sitting on our table. The dinner was excellent. The whole event was a fantastic present from our daughter.
Exceeded all our expectations! The host was very experienced and guided us through the evening in a fun way that soon put everyone at ease and had strangers working together in no time at all. The venue was absolutely marvellous and the staff were very friendly and helpful in a most refreshingly genuine way. We tagged another night onto our experience and were so glad that we had - we're definitely thinking of going back there. I'd recommend the Wine Tasting Experience for anyone - it's not at all formal or stuffy - just an exceptionally good evening with a superb meal at the end of it.
A Fabulous Evening In Matching Surroundings
The evening was a tremendous relaxing event. There were 50 present divided into 5 tables. Our table really clicked and although we came 2nd WE thought we had won - but then we would!! We saw our 'table' a lot over the weekend - all but one couple had booked an extra night - so we had more fun on the Sat night and Sunday morning. We toured the area, when we were not socalising, and had a great time.
A Memorable And Very Enjoyable Experience
The host for the evening was very good at getting everyone involved and you coudn't fail to pick up a few tips! Mixed age group, very relaxed, excellent food and of course the wine. We would thoroughly recommend the event, it was an excellent choice of wedding gift. The location in Kenilworth was perfect and we happily combined it with a visit to the castle and later Stratford the following day.
The wine tasting was a lot of fun, we met some nice people and are still in touch. It was a relaxed event and the hotel and staff were excellent. I may go again!

A lovely night of entertainment. We didn't know what to expect as we had never done this before but the wine tasting was great fun and as time went on everyone relaxed and we a great time. The meal afterwards was very nice and the service was fabulous. The staff were friendly,the venue was very pleasant and our room was very bright and well equipped. We also met some lovely people and definitely would do this experience again. What a lovely xmas gift!

From the moment we turned into the drive at Barnett Hill our wonderful experience began. The house and gardens appeared in front of us. Beautiful. Our welcome was warm and friendly and the room was everything we could want. The organisation of the wine tasting was perfect. The other guests all joined in to make it a memorable evening. I think the wine helped! The food was plentiful and well cooked, breakfast was a buffet with every kind of breakfast food you could ever want, from simple toast and marmalade to a full English. It set us up for the long journey home. It was a Christmas present we will long remember.
Fun Night Out For All Ages
A very enjoyable and entertaining evening. Our host although very knowledgeable, did not talk down to us but was very informative and entertaining. He made everyone feel at ease and there was no pressure for us to be connoisseurs when we walked in the room or when we left. The whole evening was about enjoying yourself. We sampled a number of wines and learnt how to distinguish the grapes. The meal afterwards was lovely and we sat with friends made earlier at the tasting. Breakfast was also very good.

Well Organised, Informative And Great Fun
The hotel was excellent and the wine tasting was so much fun. The whole event was very well organised and we now feel more educated about wine. Working in goups was a great idea as you soon made friends with the other couples. The age range seemed from 20-70 but everyone enjoyed the evening. The meal and breakfast were superb. We played pool, darts and table football. Croquet, French boules, volleyball and a gym were also available. I highly recommend the whole experience. I've now attended 2 Red Letter Days events and cannot fault the service.
A Luxurious, Enjoyable, And Informative Experience
This was a beautiful venue, the gardens were well kept and the rooms were also well equipped. The wine tasting was informative and was made fun by the gentleman hosting this event. The meal was beautifully presented and the choice at breakfast next morning was also well catered for. There was also refreshments and snacks freely available and the bedroom and adjoining shower room was also well equipped and more than comfortable. A truly wonderful evening break - well worth recommending to others.
After a hard week at work what better way to unwind than to sample some fine wines. On arriving at the room for our tasting we were greeted by our host for the evening. Our table was soon chatting but became a bit apprehensive when we realised there was a quiz involved. However, after the first couple of drinks everyone was soon into it and having friendly arguments about which wine was which. We must all have had a lot of experience in drinking as we were amazed at the end of the evening to have won the table quiz. There then followed a very good meal and unfortunately we had to partake of more wine. Oh well it's a hard life. After a good night's sleep we were ready for the excellent breakfast that was served. All in all a brilliant experience.

A Really Good Fun Weekend
A very interesting insight into the world of wine tasting! Very organised - we were put into teams with each member having to identify 8 different varieties of wine. Even went as far as having a cheese tasting part at the end in order to match the best wine to a specific cheese. After the wine tasting, we sat down 3 course meal. A very enjoyable experience all round and the venue itself was very spacious and scenic. Set at a large country manor house - it was very peaceful to say the least!

The venue was very good and the splitting up of guests into teams unexpected. I had not expected a competition at a wine tasting event, but it was very enjoyable. The food and service at the hotel was excellent.
Brilliant Experience, A Great Laugh
This Red Letter Days experience was a Christmas Present. It was lovely having something to look forward to after winter. We had an absolutely amazing evening, our host was great and made it a truly memorable evening. Almost 60 strangers in a room - but so much laughter!!

Venue was in a nice countryside setting, accommodation good and the evening well organised. Opportunity to meet many other people during the wine tasting and the evening meal. Good breakfast next morning and a nice stroll around the grounds.
