  • The pure adrenaline rush of white water rafting
  • A two-hour session of breathtaking twists, turns and drops in a six to eight person raft

  • Bring your sense of adventure - and a willingness to get wet

Rediscover your sense of adventure (and what it's like to be soaked to the skin!) with this white water rafting experience in an inflatable six to eight person raft. You'll start by being kitted out with all the equipment (note: this is not an experience for the style-conscious!), before a full safety briefing and instruction in rafting techniques. Then an experienced guide will take you onto the water for a series of runs down the breathtaking twists, turns and drops of the white water course. Depending on which venue you choose you'll be rafting either on mighty natural rivers, or thrilling purpose-built courses - either way, it's an adrenaline-fuelled, exhilarating and unforgettable experience.

More information

Participant Guidelines: Minimum age varies from 12 to 18. A weight limit may apply depending on venue. You must be confident in water, and at some venues be able to swim at least 50 metres unaided. Venues may test your fitness. Please advise us in advance of any disabilities.
Weather: Rafting will go ahead in most conditions but may be affected by extreme weather conditions or flooding if the rivers are too swollen.
Duration: Your session will last for approximately two hours. Allow for time afterwards to shower and change.
Numbers On Day: Your raft will hold between six and eight people, plus a qualified instructor.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome. They'll be able to see varying amounts of the experience, depending on the location. A camera will come in handy.
Dress Code: Bring swimwear, a towel, a pair of old trainers, a dry change of clothes and a wetsuit if you have one. Buoyancy aids and helmets will be provided. If you wear glasses, remove them or firmly secure them.
Availability: Rafting starts in early spring and runs throughout the summer and on into late autumn. In Scotland the main rafting seasons are spring and autumn when the white water is at its peak. Summer weekend dates fill quickly - book six to eight weeks in advance.
Other Info: At the purpose-built courses rafting is occasionally cancelled at short notice due to local authority water release systems. We'll advise you to contact the venue a few days before your booked date, if appropriate, to double-check water levels.
