We were quite anxious about this experience. The centre staff were very helpful and the instructors are extremely professional and friendly. It was an exciting experience and we did not feel unsafe at any time. I would recommend this to anyone, any age as long as they had no physical disabilities.

I has a fantastic time and would recommend this as a single experience or as a group. The first time we went down the course was very tame, although exciting, and all of us managed to hold on and avoid the water, but subsequent times were not so lucky! More often than not the whole boat tipped over at the largest of the rapids and we all went in - and under, but soon popped up ready to climb back into the boat and go again. If you have any kind of fear of water, this is not the thing for you! Like it says on the literature - you WILL get wet and you WILL get soaked to the skin! We also had a chance to jump into the rapid and also mimic a log flume - with no log - just you and a life jacket. It is also great for family and friends to stand at the side and watch you. A video camera is a must - I have some hilarious footage! This experience was fun and exciting and I laughed from start to finish. Go on .........have a go!

A fantastic afternoon spent on the man made whitwewater course in Northampton. Going down the rapids trying to stay in the raft was brillianty but even better was 'playing' in the stopper waves (a guarenteed 'throw someone out the boat!') and the opportunity to experience the power of the water first hand jumping in. A great day out - thank you Gavin (the instructor)!

I recently took part in the white water rafting experience at Nene with my partner, my son and his partner. We had a brilliant time. At first we thought the river was a bit tame (we have done this before in Dominican Republic) but Tom put us through our paces and we were soon soaked to the skin! All in all it was fab even the diving into the big hole and being shot down the rapids with no boat!!! I would definitely reccommend it!!

Had an absolute blast. Getting to the centre was easy, the centre itself was very welcoming and the staff / guides were very friendly, knowledgeable and made sure you got the most out of the experience.

What a quality experience, instructor Sam taught us everything we needed to know. The adrenalin rush you get from grappling with nature was awesome. All the staff where fantastic, recommend this to everyone

Booked White Water Rafting in Bala, North Wales as a surprise for my husband's birthday, his friends thought I was mad, but I knew he would love it. What an amazing experience, he loved every minute, the thrills of the rapids, the team work with the other parties in the boat, the laughter it brought. From the start of the booking to the end of the day it was all extremely well organised. Safety was paramount from the commencement of the programme. The weather was perfect, the venue really lovely and people very friendly. The instructors gave him a birthday he will never forget. The friends who thought I was mad, well, they are organising a group together to book on the trip having seen my videos! Will he go back, not without our 12 year old daughter, who was so disappointed she hadn't taken me up on the offer of booking her to go with him. In Arnold's words - WE WILL BE BACK and sooner rather than later! Thank you Red Letter Days for an unforgettable experience......

I'd been white water rafting before, in Bali, where the water's a bit warmer, but the wetsuits supplied ensure you're well covered. Booking in September ensured plenty of water in the river to make it even more exciting. The organisation was first class and the staff were brilliant. It was great to get a CD with all the action photos to remember a truly memorable day. Thanks to all who made it possible.

The whole experience, from booking dates on the web to being thrown down a river on a wet Wales weekend, was totally stress-free. Almost too easy! Since it was so easy to organise the day, all we had to do was arrive on time and enjoy the experience, which was made even more excellent by the expert staff at Bala. No fuss, no timewasting, just good instruction then lots of wet, wild splashing about! Absolutely top class.

Relaxed but professional instructors coupled with a laugh-a-minute experience made the whole event a hugely memorable one for my two teenage boys and me who only decided to tag along at the last minute. Wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I have always wanted to try white water rafting. It was the best experience ever. Our guide in the raft was amazing too. I will definitely be coming back for more. An extremely well organised event from start to finish. Very professional. Really good value for money. I had so much fun.

The whole experience was one to remember. The tuition was well presented with humour and with the necessary safety aspects. Although the waters were bracing the warmth generated within the group by our instructor more than made up for the March weather.The white water really got our hearts pounding as we rode the rapids paddling our way down the picturesque river four times. Each time the instructor gave us more excitement and laughs as we got more adventurous. The last run down gave us a real soaking as we paddled up close to the rapids and flirted with the thundering torrents! The equipment was very good and after the last run the hot showers were just the ticket before enjoying a hot meal and drink in the riverside cafe. On leaving the rafting centre we viewed ourselves on a screen as a photographer captured the delights on our faces and we bought a cd with over 100 happy snaps to remind us what a great adventure we had.

By far one of the best adventure experiences I have ever had. If you are looking for an adrenaline fuelled experience this is for you. Despite the temperatures being freezing cold, we had a fantastic time and would definitely do it again. All the staff were friendly and very informative. Recommended.

Exhilarating, energetic and excellent, the white water rafting at Bala was suitable for a party of first-timers and people with some previous experience. The busy facilities were well organised, with friendly staff on hand to help out. The equipment was in good condition adding to feeling of professionalism. The day consisted of a briefing on safety, equipment and what to expect, followed by the allocation of wetsuit, boots, helmet and paddle. We were soon whisked up to the top of the run by minibus and after a short dry-land practice were shooting headlong down the rapids on the first of four runs. Afterwards, exhausted but exhilarated we headed into lovely hot showers, had a great cup of tea at the cafe and laughed at the brilliant professional photos. Special mention goes to the raft guide, who made the day special by playing tricks on us, building team spirit by encouraging rivalry with another raft and chatting to us between runs. All in all a highly recommended experience.
