White Water Rafting for Two

We had a fantastic day in Northampton, I laughed so much that my sides hurt (may have drunk some river water a swell). Our guide seemed to be having as much fun as we were. We'll definitely be going back in the spring and summer.

Though the weather was grey and miserable our excitement to get out on the river wasn't dampened. We knew that we were about to get a lot wetter and we weren't disappointed! My best friend had bought us both the white water rafting package for our 30th birthdays and what a way to celebrate. All the people at the centre in Wales made us feel very welcome and safe at all times. Time flew by as we rafted down the river on four runs getting wetter and wetter each time. With the adrenaline pumping we didn't notice the typical British summer rain lashing down on us. The day will stick in our memory for another 30 years and we'll definitely be looking to get out on the river again soon.

What a day! This was very well organised, timings were exactly as we were told, venue was superb, instructor was fun and made it his aim to make sure that everyone was having a great time. We all got drenched, but with the thermal wet suits and boots they supplied I didn't get cold! Would definitely recommend this as a present for someone to buy for a friend who is looking for something different, as it'll be a great surprise.

The best thing about the whole experience was the ability to have a testosterone filled day out (as the raft next to us did) or in my case take my girlfriend and also have a good laugh and really be exhausted and feel like you have earned a drink after it. The raft guides on each boat were so experienced, made you feel safe and could tell how far they could push each person individually whilst still having a great day. There were people there from their early 20s to the late 50s all having a great day and mixing well. A great laugh for any occasion.

I brought this gift for my partner's birthday and neither of us were sure of what to expect. On arrival we were shocked to see just how alike the water rapids were to real rapids. After a half hour briefing and getting fitted into wet suits we were taken to a calm lake to get used to the raft and the instructions from the instructor. Finally we went into the main stream of the rapids, at first it was quite calm, not much to worry about, but on the 3rd trip round the course it got more and more rough. It was brilliant - an experiance both myself and my partner would do again. The instructors also took us to a part of the course where you can jump in, lie on your back and float down through the rapids - great fun! As it was my partner's birthday the instructors made sure he got soaked and totally took advantage of this which was great. All of the staff were fabulous and made us feel really safe and they make sure you get the most out of your experience. Thanks guys!

Trying to find the perfect 21st birthday present for my boyfriend was very hard, so a friend suggested to have a look on the Red Letter Days website, when I had a look I saw lots of fun days. When I saw the white water rafting I knew it was the one for him, so I booked it for the 2 of us, the service was fantastic with all emails and details sent immediately. So the day came and we had to dress up in our wet suits which were extremely clean, then the fantastic staff gave us a good briefing about safety etc, we got onto the water and took part in the most fantastic experience EVER! Both myself and my boyfriend enjoyed the day and are planning our next trip to do it again with our friends and family, thank you Red Letter Days for helping me make my boyfriend's 21st birthday so very special.

From the start, the staff at the centre were very friendly and engaging. After being kitted out and a short safety briefing we entered the river for our first run. All of the instructions and commands were practiced on a calm part of the river before we ventured down the rapids. It was great fun in the raft, a great sense of cameraderie. As we dodged in and out of rapids, getting absolutely soaked to the skin, the instructor would yell out different commands to make sure we were all safe and working together. With each run, we bacame more familiar and even more brave. The run ended with the instructor taking us into a rapid, and getting us stuck there (on purpose) completely soaking everyone in the raft. What a great end to a great day.

I've been banging on about going white water rafting for ages, and now my dream has been fulfilled, thanks to my lovely wife Catherine, who bought me the Red Letter Day experience of a lifetime. My mate Nick shared the ride in the raft, but Cath was there at the visitor centre to witness my excitement and that I stayed in the raft on each trip!

It was a perfect day, the sun was shining the sky was blue, the river was flowing fast with plenty of white peaks. Service from the centre staff was excellent. All equipment was clean and well maintained. The rafting guides were friendly and wanted you to enjoy every aspect of the experience. Couldn't fault any aspect of the day. Would thoroughly recommend the day, especially if you like to get wet, then wet again, then even wetter still! We couldn't have asked for anything more, first class experience and service.

We didn't know what to expect of our white water rafting experience, but wow what a brilliant time. We had four runs down the course, each being more challenging and exciting, getting thoroughly wet through and smiling from ear to ear. It's now two days later and we're still smiling. The staff at the centre were brilliant, we would definitely recommend this experience.

Absolutely great fun and a must for anyone who likes the water and a bit of a thrill. It is one off my bucket list!!

It was so much fun I couldn't stop laughing, it was an excellent package - a cross between river rapids and log flume!!!

Really well looked after at the centre, great instructor. Brilliant fun, with everyone entering into the spirit of the day - absolutely soaking wet, but all of us in the raft grinning from ear to ear. Would go again tomorrow :-)

We were looked after from the minute we arrived. All the staff were very friendly and involved everybody in the raft to give them the maximum enjoyment. A great experience for all involved.

The day was excellent. The team there looked after us and added extra activities which made the whole experience a lot more fun. Top experience.

Had a really good time, it was really good fun and the water was not too cold. Great for parties of six. Going to book again for next year!

The instructors were helpful, enthusiastic and dedicated to ensuring that we had the full introductory experience to white water rafting. Yes the water is cold but you're so pumped with adrenaline that you don't realise until the session has ended! It was a great length of session. I'm terrified of deep water but this was fantastic and I'm ready for the Alps now! But do wear an extra pair of socks as your feet are sometimes submerged under water inside the boat ;)

From the service and efficiency and friendliness of the Red Letter Days team to the adrenalin pumping thrill of the experience, we could not have had a better present. Well done to all concerned and thank you.

I bought this for my boyfriends' 21st birthday. I was worried that he wouldn't have anything to remember it by because I never bought him an actual item but this is something he will never forget! We had an amazing time and it brought us really close! It was an experience that we will never get the chance to do again and this made it even more special. We also made some great friends and the instructors were brilliant. This memory will definitely be something we will look back on forever as the best weekend we have ever spent together!

The safety and training from the instructors was second to none and they make sure that you enjoy every minute of it. The thrill of riding the rapids was a great experience. Highly recommended. Would I do it again? Definitely.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience that I would recommend to everyone. Be prepared to get very wet though. I was impressed with all staff at the centre and the guides helped to make the day fun. Our first date was cancelled due to poor weather but I was particularly impressed with the way the staff contacted me and the speed with which they hastily arranged an alternative date. Well done, a first class service.

My girlfriend and I went white water rafting as a birthday treat. We were apprehensive before we arrived, as neither of us had any experience in any water experiences. We were treated exceptionally from start to finish, enjoying the day so much, we are looking to go rafting again in the very near future.

It was absolutely amazing, we really enjoyed it. The instuctor was great, you not only did the rafting but then if you wanted to you could jump in the middle of the mini waterfalls and swim against the current. If you want a thrill seeking day out I highly recommend this event. We are still buzzing days later. You don't need to be a good swimmer.

Eight of our party took part in the white water rafting and all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend to friends. Trainers exceptional and helpful in every way. Even two members of party who did not take part enjoyed watching and would take part next time, as we will be doing this again!!!
