Great morning - friendly and knowledgeable chef, great mix of people in attendance and a mountain (literally!) of sushi to take home. My friends loved me! Definitely recommend the experience to any sushi lovers out there.

Overall it was a fantastic experience and I had a great big grin on my face as soon as we started! Our teacher (Dal Kim) was fantastic. Very friendly and most importantly patient. I also managed to start making sushi virtually straight away so he definitely proved to be a good teacher. There were only x2 others on the course with me which meant for an even better experience. To be honest i think if there had been more than 5 it wouldn't of been so good but i guess they would have more teachers if that was the case... The only complaint I would have was that although we were provided with written instructions which were informative there were a few errors (seaweed sheet measurements) and also omitted some very important information i.e. the quantities of rice for each of the different rolls! I wrote them down on the sheets myself for future reference. In summary a fantastic x2 hours and more sushi than you can shake a stick at! Thank you Dal Kim!

Such a great day, staff were very friendly and made everything very simple to understand - I never thought I'd actually be making good quality sushi and so many types, but with their help I did! I was so proud! Everything you make you can take home so I also got to show my family and friends what I had acheived. My partner came to watch and he also had a very warm welcome, even being aloowed to sample every now and again. I am now being asked when I'll be throwing my first sushi party and I honestly can't wait!
Fantastic Experience!!!

If you're into cooking (well trying to in my case) and you want to try something different, this is perfect. Took my experience at Nottingham Yo Sushi and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

I was slightly anxious about the course but the teacher helped even me make food that actually resembled sushi. We were taught how to make 4 different types and then got lunch on top of this. It was a great course.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff take you through a sushi masterclass followed by a session in the mix of the Yo Sushi kitchen. I was so well taught I was impressed at my own skills; made the best food I've made for years.
Excellent Intro To Sushi!

A fun intro to how to make sushi; all the basics were covered, maki, inside out and hand rolls. There was lots of hands on time and even better, you get to take a little doggie bag home of all the things you've made.

I love sushi and now I can make it (or at least try to) at home as well! It was a great morning out, Lucas (our chef) was very knowledgeable and entertaining and 2.5 hrs flew by! And we were able to take our creations home - which my husband appreciated very much (although at first he did not believe that I actually made them - he thought I bought them in store). If you love sushi - ask your friends to give this to you as a birthday gift!!!
Fabulous Day Out- Learning And Eating !

This was a truly entertaining day out to Yo Sushi, to learn how to make Sushi. It was informative, surprising and the balance of formal and informal elements, was just right. Chef was very knowlegeable with a great sense of humour. He made it all seem so simple with his precise instructions. I love the attention to detail- use 18g of rice for nigori, use 80g of rice for mako etc.
I surprised myself at how adept I was at rolling sushi using the mats. We got plenty of opportunities to actually make different kinds of sushi. Lunch was included in the price ( nice salmon teriyaki )and we got to take home the sushi we made,so I was definitely all sushied up by the evening- it was delicious by the way. As a direct result of attending the school, I have been out and purchased all the necessary ingredients. It is so simple to make and I look forward to taking home made sushi for lunch to work, instead of salad! Great value for money and a great present!

I had a wonderful morning making and learning about sushi, it was very informative from start to finish, learning the origin of sushi, then learning to make different types of sushi, then about the different cuts of salmon for different types of sushi. The teacher was excellent, very patient and helpful, we had lots of samples to try, and it also included a lovely lunch and sushi to take home, with a pack with a sushi mat, information and a certificate, it was a lovely morning, would love to do it again.

I received my Sushi making day as a gift a thoroughly enjoyed my morning spent making Sushi. I was lucky to be on my own in the class so I had a great 1 to 1 session which really allowed me practise my Sushi making skills. Mark the Sushi chef was fantastic and really spent the time explaining everything from the basic to more advanced techniques!
