Lovely. My daughter and I were the only people who had booked on Sunday afternoon so we had the chef's undivided attention.

We met some lovely co-sushi makers. The lady who demonstrated was adorable and very helpful. All good fun and we were stuffed by the end. All good.

What an unexpectedly enjoyable way to spend a Sunday evening. YO! Sushi made us feel really welcome and put us at ease right away, offering us miso soup when we arrived and getting us set up with chef's hats and hygienic gloves. Our teacher was approachable and chatty and her demonstrations were so easy to follow that she said our creations turned out good enough to be sold in the restaurant! But we got to take them home and EAT them instead. They provided us with soy sauce, ginger and wasabi to take home too. We got lots of tips on how to make the perfect sticky rice, and how to stop it sticking to everything it's not supposed to stick to. We took pics of ourselves all the way through, including some of us grinning with our Level 1 Sushi Class certificates at the end. I can't wait to make sushi at home now and impress everyone, and I know a few people who would definitely enjoy this experience themselves!
A Great Experience!

We very much enjoyed this sushi class which was informative and fun. It was a nice alternative to a normal birthday present, as you come away with new skills, and plenty of homemade sushi!

Fiance Really Loved Her Birthday Present

My fiancee and I had a great couple of hours at the Yo Sushi in Oxford. It all started a little late but that was more than made up for when we made an extra couple of items some of which we ate during the time and some we waited to the end to eat and others (because there was so much food!) we took away in a little bento box and ate on the train home. Special mention should be made of my fiancee's food requirements in that she does not eat shellfish or cold vegetables, our host Dal Kim checked what she did and didn't eat and changed what we were using accordingly so she could eat everything we made. (I had different fillings in mine). If pushed, the only downside I can think of is that the rolling mat came from a generic shop and wasn't a Yo Sushi branded one, but as the sushi chef's were themselves using these generic ones, it is hard to complain about that. In short, if you want to learn how to make sushi (we learnt a lot in the first 30 seconds!) do this experience!

A great morning - a very friendly and encouraging chef gave a great demonstration and it was great to feel confidence rising and see the results improving as we learnt how to roll, shape and chop various ingredients. The last set of sushi Maki were almost identical and even - result! We ended up with several boxes of sushi to take home, gaining admiring comments from friends and family as we laid out a feast of sushi for them. Now to prepare a sushi banquet... Highly recommended.

Our expert was brilliant! Khim was an absolute sweetie and she guided us well and made sure that we left feeling like the last 3 hours had flown by. We made a generous amount of sushi, even after eating we still had plenty to take away! Definitely recommend to anyone who likes a bit of sushi and likes being practical - alot of fun!

The day was really good fun. The teacher is very knowledgable and informative. We learnt to make 4 different types of sushi and were told how to make them at home and how to customise ingredients to personal taste. The teacher was very patient and did well to set a good pace in the class I would highly recommend to any beginner.

Attended the sushi making course YO Sushi in London. Thankfully there was only five of us on the course which made for a nice, relaxed morning class. The skills that we learnt where interesting and easy to transfer back home. The vast amount of sushi we each took home was a bonus too.... The free late lunch we each received from the resturant was lovely, a nice way to finish up.
Great Fun!

Day was well organised and very informative. With just 12 of us it was easy for the instructor to interact. On thing was the guy spoke very quickly so was sometimes difficult to understand but he was happy to repeat things.
