The majority of venues offer this experience for two people, although there are options included within our range for three and for four.
Most hotels request smart casual dress.
We enjoyed a peaceful afternoon tea in wonderful surroundings. Our tea was delicious nice and fresh and plenty for two to enjoy, we even took some homemade scones home.
Our first visit was a present but this time we bought it for ourselves! The food was fantastic, ample and efficiently served. We had too much to eat and brought some home as we couldn't bear to leave it!
Having finally got round to using our voucher we decide to go to the Grapvine hotel in Stow on the Wold! I have to say it was delightful? The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home! We couldn't eat all the food so they even gave us a 'doggy' bag to take home! A very enjoyable couple of hours.
Unfortunately we were half way through eating before we received a drink. (Problem with machine), When The cappuccino finally arrived it was so hot it took a while before It could be drunk. Worst thing was other people that were seated after us received their drinks before us.
fter many apoligias to our guests we lef t immmediatelly.
An excellent tea which capped an unforgettable day in Stratford on Avon with my lady friend.
Service could have been better. My order for coffee seemed to have been forgotten, and the tea wasn't hot
The organisation was good and so was the service, the hotel did not seem four star, more two star - shabby but not chic. Tea was nice, not massive amount but the service was really lovely
Afternoon tea for two at Wivenhoe House Hotel was a gift to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The venue was lovely, beautiful historic setting with matching decor and furnishings. Food was delicious and well presented. Any left overs could be boxed and taken home. Staff were very polite and attentive. We were able to relax and tables were nicely spread out. A lovely afternoon.
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Staff were extremely courteous and polite and made us feel at home. Service was prompt and what was served was pure quality. Best of all we liked the laid back attitude of the staff where not even once they dropped any hint asking us to leave since our time was up. We ended up staying there for about 5 hours.
lovely environment for an afternoon tea, pleasant and friendly staff. Calorie overload with all the yummy cakes and chocolate fondue Devine.
Staff were excellent, food was lovely. The venue had taken account of dietary requirements. We were not rushed at all. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
A really super afternoon tea, excellent sandwiches - super scones and delicious cakes - service was first class.
Arrived early but that wasn't a problem for the attentative staff, surroundings were excellent. There was no pressure to leave and no rush between courses, with tea & coffee freely available.
I was disappointed in the standard of this afternoon tea, I really would have expected better. It was a nice hotel but there was no selection of proper teas and the cakes were quite lacklustre. I wouldn't recommend this.
Loved my afternoon tea at the Hilton ..
Great service and delicious sandwiches and cakes
Our afternoon tea for two at the London Elizabeth was a great experience from beginning to end. We found the restaurant staff very attentive and the food was excellent. I informed them about some dietary requirements beforehand and they really went out of their way to meet our needs. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Also we loved the setting right next to London Kensington Gardens.
Upon arrival our booking seemed to have been mislaid. We were still offered a table and sat expectantly. Served by a helpful and friendly waitress, though disappointed with the fayre. Sandwiches were a bit stale, and scones dry. The tea was most acceptable!
