Do you want to work for a company owned by Dragons’ Den stars Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis? We're looking for a Design and Production Executive to join our team. This is primarily an administrative role, but would suit someone with a creative background as it will involve image manipulation and some design work. Red Letter Days pioneered the selling of experiences as gifts and has unrivalled experience in the field. In order to promote the brand and keep consistency and quality the majority of the company’s marketing collateral is produced in-house.
While the primary responsibilities of the Design and Production Executive will be administrative, we believe that this role may be attractive to someone with an interest in design who would like to ‘get their foot in the door’ of a creative team.
The role is based mainly at the company’s offices in Southgate (London), but the Design and Production Executive may be asked to travel to take photographs and video of our extensive range of experiences and events.
This is a wide reaching and varied role, working within the Design & Production team.
Responsibilities include managing and enhancing our stock of still and video images to improve our printed collateral and website content. You will be required to crop images as supplied by our partners and reference them in our product database. You will also source new imagery and video, which may include proactively approaching partners, downloading from stock libraries and traveling to events.
The role also involves assisting in general administration duties relating to image requests from other departments, sourcing quotes from suppliers, providing quotes to clients and raising purchase orders for print work.
There will also be a chance to help design our consumer and corporate collateral such as posters, leaflets, brochures, e-shots, website etc.
Desired Skills & Experience Required:
Solid administrative experience and a fanatical attention to detail are a must. You will need to be competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience of using Photoshop to edit images and InDesign, either in a work context or through study or personal use are essential.
Photography skills and a driving licence would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of the print production process would be useful but not essential.
You must be able to work as part of a team, but also hold your own independently, working to deadlines and handling the day to day pressures of a busy department that delivers to an extremely high standard.
Salary is competitive and dependent on experience. Good holiday allowance and travel loan option, cycle to work scheme, Childcare Vouchers, a great reward & recognition scheme plus team days out and chances to test our experiences.
