Leading points scorers race for victory in the final event
You'll be behind the wheel of a RT8 390cc kart, which reaches speeds of up to 70 mph (and believe us, it will feel twice as fast in a kart). Start off with a safety briefing, followed by qualifying laps to get used to the karts and the full outdoor international circuit. Then let your competitive streak loose in three quick-fire race heats. The leading point scorers go on to take part in the grand final, followed by a trophy presentation for the top three drivers.
One event is held every month, generally on a Wednesday evening but alternatively (and very occasionally) on a different weekday evening.
Minimum age is 16. Drivers don't need a driving licence or any driving experience. Minimum height is 5', maximum height is 6'4''. Maximum weight 18 stone.
Racing might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (i.e. ice or snow) which would make driving at high speed dangerous. You'll be contacted if your experience is cancelled. Unused laps will be credited for another visit.
The event lasts for four to five hours. Safety rules dictate that if you miss any of your initial briefing you cannot take part so please don't be late.
Numbers on the Day
There'll be up to 60 drivers taking part.
Spectators are welcome. The venue has state-of-the-art clubhouse facilities serving hot and cold food and offering excellent viewing areas.
Wear trainers or similar flat shoes. Clean helmets, balaclavas, competition-style race suits, gloves and rib protectors will be provided.
Don't drink any alcohol for a minimum of 12 hours before your experience - if you do, you won't be allowed to take part. After the event has finished, you are free to relax in the on-site bar.
