Take the controls and pilot the plane during your 60 min flight
The flying club at this Swansea airfield offers a warm welcome and the opportunity for enthusiasts to fly. After a safety briefing from an experienced instructor, learn about flying skills and techniques before hopping into the plane. Once aboard the two seater plane, often a Cessna (a small, piston-powered aircraft) or a Piper (a low-wing tandem two-seat monoplane) and the plane is airborne, enjoy the view then at the instructor's discretion, take the controls to see how it feels to be a pilot.
Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Weekends can get very busy, so we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends).
Minimum age is 17. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6'6''. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they wont be permitted to fly.
Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. Flights cancelled because of the weather, will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
The experience will last for up to 90 minutes, including your 60 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration.
