Experience aviation from a whole new perspective with this 30 minute Tiger Moth flight at the IWM Duxford, Cambridgeshire. Head to the skies for a sensational flight and enjoy stunning birds-eye views, whilst an experienced pilot (subject to weather conditions and at their discretion) displays a series of adrenaline-pumping aerial moves. Kick off with the short pre-flight briefing, before climbing aboard a De Havilland Tiger Moth - the quintessential English vintage biplane. Selected Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday dates throughout the main flying season from March to October.

Minimum age is 16. Maximum weight 18 stone. Minimum height 4'11''. If you fit into a standard car seat you should be comfortable in the cockpit. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit.
Flying is weather dependent and it is crucial you call the weather line (after 8.30am please) on the day of the flight. The Tiger Moth is an vintage open-cockpit plane and certain weather conditions may result in your flight being rescheduled.
The flight lasts around 30 minutes from chocks-off to chocks-on. Please arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled flight time to be kitted out and briefed. Allow for at least one hour on-site.
Numbers on the Day
The briefing may be shared, but only you and a qualified pilot are in the aircraft during the flight. The museum is very popular and can get busy on summer weekends and school holidays.
Visitors are welcome and can get half price entry rates to the museum. Please note that all spectators have to enter the museum to watch any take off. A camera and a pair of binoculars come in handy. Pets are not permitted at the airfield.
Tiger Moths have open cockpits, so wrap up warm. Wear soft-soled shoes. Bring sunglasses and tie back long hair. Flying kit (jacket, headset and helmet) is provided.
These vintage aircraft are scrupulously maintained and serviced to ensure safety. MUST take the booking confirmation letter on the day in order to guarantee participation.
