The Cessna 152 is a light aircraft primarily used for flight training. Following a comprehensive safety briefing, head to the skies with a professional pilot for an exhilarating 30 minute flight and enjoy sensational birds-eye views of the landscape below. During the flight, the pilot explains the controls and demonstrates fundamental flight techniques. At the pilot's discretion, take over the controls to feel the unparalleled thrill of flying a plane.
Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends).
Minimum age 16. Maximum weight is 15 stone. Maximum height is 6'2''. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they won't be permitted to fly.
Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
Lasts for at least one hour, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration.
Numbers on the Day
The briefing might be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.
Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing.
Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
