This sensational 60 minute flying experience offers a great introduction to ultra-light aviation. Begin on solid ground with a detailed flight and safety briefing, before boarding a Cessna 152 two-seater training plane with an expert instructor in preparation for take-off. Once airborne, enjoy the unique sensation of light aircraft flight in addition to incredible panoramic views of the ground below. During the flight (at the pilot's discretion), take over the reins to experience the unrivalled joy of piloting a plane.
Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends).
Minimum age 16. Maximum weight is 15 stone. Maximum height is 6'2''. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they won't be permitted to fly.
Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
Last for at least 90 minutes, including a 60 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration.
Numbers on the Day
Flight briefings may be shared. The flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.
Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing but binoculars are recommended.
Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL). To qualify for a PPL you need 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying. If you have ever wanted to be a pilot, this is a great way to get started.
