The Subaru Impreza is the world-famous golden-wheeled wonder car that helped Colin McRae and Petter Solberg win the world rally championships. Experience the fantastic handling, power and speed the Subaru Impreza STi has to offer. Begin with a briefing on the mile-long tarmac circuit and driving techniques before being let loose for over six miles in one of the most successful and respected rally vehicles of all time. Complete your experience with a debriefing session, presentation of a certificate to remember your day and completion of your driver analysis form. Bring a guest along and they can even enjoy a free 4x4 off road passenger ride.
Runs around four times a month, and can be on a Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday or Thursday. The circuit is closed from early December to mid-January.
Maximum weight is 18 stone and maximum height is 6'6''. You must be able to produce your full manual driving licence with you on the day to guarantee participation.
Driving might be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue Monday - Friday (if in any doubt).
Expect to be at the circuit for up to an hour in total, including 6.6 miles driving time. Please be aware that sessions start from 8am and sessions booked between 11am - 3pm incur a £10 charge. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start.
Numbers on the Day
All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time as you (if you're lucky you'll experience some awesome overtaking).
Spectators are welcome and each one is entitled to a free 4x4 off road passenger ride. Other extra (chargable) drives and passenger rides are available on the day subject to availability.
Dress comfortably (and warmly in winter) with trousers, long sleeves and flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided.
From 7.45am - 5.45pm a free minibus operates every 30 minutes between Stafford train station and the Stafford Activity Centre. Participants who choose this greener way to travel receive a £10 voucher and spectators a £5 voucher to spend on-site. When booking expect to be offered the choice of buying a collision damage waiver at £20 to £40 additional charge. Please note there is no obligation to purchase this optional waiver.
