Head to the skies for a sensational 60 minute light aircraft flight from a North Devon airfield. Following a full safety briefing and discussion on fundamental controls and flight procedures, take to the air in a dual-controlled two-seater training plane with a qualified pilot. Once airborne, enjoy incredible views as the pilot demonstrates this nippy crafts capabilities. During the flight (at the pilot's discretion), take over responsibility of the controls to get a genuine feel for flying a plane.
February to October, including public holidays. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance.
There is no minimum or maximum age for this experience.
Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you call the venue between 8am - 9am for a weather check. If your flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
Your experience will last for about 80 minutes, including your 60 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration.
Numbers on the Day
Your briefing might be shared. Your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.
Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land.
Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Your flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL). To qualify for a PPL you need 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying. If you have ever wanted to be a pilot, this is a great way to get started.
