Can count towards flying time for a Private Pilot's Licence for microlights
Take an exhilarating trip in a nippy, aerodynamic microlight and soar like a bird. Begin with a short briefing from a qualified instructor, before climbing into a lightweight microlight. The type of craft offered at this North Devon venue is called fixed wing, which is similar to a conventional light aircraft and has dual controls, ensuring full safety at altitude. Enjoy the surprising speed and versatility of the craft and once airborne, take over the controls with the instructor on hand at all times to offer tips and encouragement. This flight also counts towards a microlight Private Pilot's Licence, should the experience bring out the flying bug.
February to October, including public holidays. Weekends can get very busy, so we recommend booking at least four weeks in advance.
Maximum weight is 16 stone and minimum age is 14. Under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who'll be required to sign a disclaimer.
Microlighting is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you call the venue between 8am - 9am for a weather check. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
The flight lasts about 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight.
