  • About

Drive the awesome new Nissan GT-R and either the Aston Martin V8 Vantage or DB9. Aston Martin's are beautifully crafted modern classics with awesome power, phenomenal acceleration and superb handling. The Nissan is the UK's fastest car in its price range, reaching 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 195 mph. Kick off with a briefing on driving techniques, then the ARDS instructor drives for two demonstration laps in a performance car so that you can learn the racing lines. Next, take the wheel of either the Aston Martin V8 Vantage or DB9 for four laps around the 1.8 mile long track. Then step into the Nissan GT-R for a further four laps. End with a driving assessment and certificate presentation.

    • Full briefing and demo laps driven by a qualified instructor
    • Take the driving seat of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage or DB9
    • Enjoy driving the awesome Nissan GT-R for four laps
    • Enjoy either a free Segway or karting taster session

    Participant Guidelines

Minimum height is 5'2'', maximum is 6'6''. Maximum weight is 18 stone. A full British or international must be presented on the day to ensure participation.

Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice, heavy rain or high winds, when driving at speed might become dangerous. The venue makes contact if the experience is cancelled for any reason.

    Numbers On Day

Up to 30 people take part. The briefing is shared with a group. Other than for demonstration laps, all driving is held on a one-to-one basis. There tend to be large numbers taking part at weekends.

Spectators are welcome. A camera will come in handy. The venue offers good facilities for spectators and drivers, including a US-style diner. Pets are not allowed at racing circuits.

    Dress Code

Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and narrow, flat-soled shoes, as the pedals in these cars can be close together. Wear natural fibres like cotton, rather than synthetics like nylon.

Great day out, the Aston Vantage was very nice, quick and a touch of class. Nissan GTR was amazingly quick, twin turbo of pure power and gave the Lamborghini's a run for their money. Only downside was doing my sighting laps in a Vauxhall Vectra!!! Not even a VXR only old mans SRI.....

Efficiently run. Very helpful and courteous staff, all aiming to make it a good experience. You should offer some choices of more laps, as after 4 laps you are only just starting to really enjoy it!

The speed and handling of the GTR is unbelieveable - had a fantastic time and will never forget it. Many thanks to my wife for getting me this gift, and to Red Letter Days for making it happen. I might have to go back there this weekend if I get the chance to sneak out!

6.30am in bed wide awake awaiting a memorable day. 8.00am set off to the track! Sky's clear, sun shining, tarmac awaiting. 9.45am group brief and key information - then out to the track for a demonstration lap round the 1.8 mile track in a Ford Focus ST. Really good demonstration of the track with lots of useful key points. Now showtime - all geared up, cameras ready and the beautiful Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante awaiting me in the morning sun. Straight in, quick brief about the Aston then away I went, accelerating out of the pit and out into the horizon to complete 4 breathtaking laps of the track. Then it was time to move on to Japan's powerhouse, the Nissan GTR. Quick brief again and away I go exploding out of the pit with mind blowing acceleration and high speeds. A day to truly remember and I will soon be back, but for now back to reality and thank you!
