Underwater Foraging Course in Cornwall
Learn to forage for food deep under the sea with AIDA freediving master and author Ian Donald - no scuba equipment or spearguns required. Based in beautiful Newquay, this underwater food foraging adventure not only covers a host of handy freediving skills, it also teaches how to source and gather sustainable foods with your bare hands. Start with a briefing and an introduction to freediving techniques in the shallows of the sea before heading underwater with Ian's guidance and hunting for edible delights such as seaweeds, shoreline plants and herbs, molluscs and crustaceans. Gather as much as you can, then head back to dry land with sustainable seafood hunting skills to last a lifetime - an aquatic adventure unlike any other!

- Availability Description
Twice a week (a mixture of weekdays and weekends) throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period.
- Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 16. All participants must be confident swimmers and are required to sign a medical declaration form. No previous diving experience is necessary.
Starts at 9.30am and finishes at 4.30pm.
- Numbers on the Day
Share the course with up to seven other budding freedivers, plus a qualified instructor.
- Dress Code
All specialist freediving equipment is provided. Please bring swimwear and a towel.

Please note, each participant receives 10 per cent off any future freediving courses.
