A totally unforgettable feeling
Jump onto the airflow to experience colossal vertical wind speeds of up to 120 mph. After receiving a full safety briefing from a professional instructor, get kitted out in a specialist flight suit in preparation for the wind tunnel. Then get acquainted with the incredible sensation of freefall with two adrenaline-pumping 120 second sessions of body flying, with an instructor on hand throughout to offer tips and guidance. If time allows, the instructor may jump onto the airflow and execute some jaw-dropping aerial acrobatics. Finish the session with a debrief back on solid ground.
Seven days a week throughout the year. The centre is closed on Christmas Day but operates on bank holidays.
Minimum age is four. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum weight 18 stone. Anyone who's reasonably fit, can fly. If you're pregnant, have heart, back or neck problems or have ever dislocated a shoulder, you can't fly.
The tunnel is indoors and isn't affected by the weather.
Expect to be on-site for around one and a half hours, including a 20 minute safety briefing, kit issue (15 minutes), two 120 second body flying sessions and a full debrief.
Numbers on the Day
Training may be shared in a group of up to 12. All flights are held on a one-to-one basis with a fully qualified instructor in the wind tunnel.
Facilities are excellent and make for a good family outing. Spectators can watch the action from the free viewing gallery.
No jewellery or collared shirts. Please wear tight-fitting lace-up trainers (not boots). If suitable footwear isn't worn, it is compulsory to hire trainers from the venue. Jumpsuits and other equipment are provided. Lockers £1.
It is vital to arrive no later than the allocated time on the booking letter. Actual flights occur up to one hour after the allocated booked time to allow for an essential safety briefing before stepping into the tunnel.
