Go white water rafting in Scotland where you'll join others in an inflatable eight person raft with an experienced guide on some of the UK s best white water. The River Tay set in the heart of Highland Perthshire is the longest river in Scotland and famous for diverse white water. Starting at a few splashes for the tame at heart which is graded 1 on the UK s White Water graded system. To white-knuckle, stomach-churning rapids and beyond (which go up to grade 6 that is far too rough to offer commercially). Take on the River Tay rapids at a level that suits and career your way at speed and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Scotland's Highlands. Scotland's white water rafting experience is the perfect gift for the adventurer in your life or for yourself.

Key Info
  • Availability Description
Selected weekends from April to November. Spring and autumn are the best times to raft, as water levels are higher than in the drier summer months. Summer weekends fill quickly - book six to eight weeks in advance.
  • Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 10. You must be confident in the water but you don't need to be able to swim as buoyancy aids are provided for everyone. Any medical conditions must be declared before booking and the venue reserves the right to test your fitness.
  • Weather
Rafting will go ahead in almost all conditions. Although extremely rare, certain weather conditions may lead to postponement for safety reasons. If this happens, the venue will call you within 24 hours on the last minute contact number you provide.
  • Duration
Your session will last for around two hours from initial introduction to a debrief. Please arrive a few minutes early to register and change, and allow for time afterwards to shower and change.
  • Numbers on the Day
Your raft holds up to eight people plus a qualified instructor.
  • Dress Code
Bring swimwear, a towel, old tracksuit/leggings, a sweatshirt and old trainers. You will get wet! Wetsuits and helmets are provided, plus jackets and cagouls if required. Ideally glasses should be removed, if not they must be secured with elastic.
  • Other Info
Participants WILL get wet, but there are hot shower facilities at the venue. Jumping from the raft into still practice waters is part of the initial training session.
