Get airborne with a stimulating light aircraft flight in Nottinghamshire. After a detailed pre-flight briefing and explanation of elementary flying methods, hop into a dual-controlled two-seater Cessna 152 training plane with an experienced tutor to head to the heights for a 30 minute flight. Watch incredible views unfold and during the flight, you may be asked to take over the flying responsibilities and take this nimble aircraft for a spin.
Seven days a week. The venue is closed on Christmas Day. Weekends can get very busy, if you want a weekend date we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends).
Maximum weight is 17 stone. Maximum height is 6'4''. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they wont be permitted to fly.
Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
Lasts around 45 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration.
Numbers on the Day
The briefing might be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.
Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing. There is a cafe on-site with excellent views of the runway.
Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
