24 Hour Adult Survival Course with Bear Grylls Survival Academy
Fun and rewarding, this 24 hour Bear Grylls course teaches coddled modern humans all the skills their ancestors knew and prepares them for an emergency situation out in the wild. Run by experts hand-picked by Bear, it takes place in the Brecon Beacons or South Downs and lasts a full day and night! Learn to identify animal runs, lay traps and snares and how to forage to supplement a diet. Learn knife skills, wilderness first aid, rope skills and how to navigate difficult terrains such as waterfalls, lakes and rivers. Activities in the Brecon Beacons include emergency water rescue techniques, self-rescue techniques, a White Water gorge walk and even a waterfall jump! : In the South Downs, participants are taught spear making, axe throwing and how to firelight using a bow and hand drill. Much more than a bushcraft course, this gruelling experience will test courage and determination, stamina and the will to survive and leaves participants feeling ready for anything!

- Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 18 years. The Bear Grylls Survival Academy Courses are challenging both mentally and physically; in order to get the most from the course, participants should be relatively fit and healthy.
This event would only be cancelled or curtailed in adverse weather conditions. Please call the venue if in any doubt.
Arrive at the course location meeting point on day one and depart 24 hours later. The course runs from 12pm-12pm.
- Numbers on the Day
This course is strictly limited to a maximum of 14 participants and three Bear Grylls Survival Academy Instructors. Please note that Bear Grylls will not actually be there on the event.
- Dress Code
All clothing and equipment you bring MUST be appropriate to the environment and time of year. There are a number of mandatory must have items, including robust mountain boots and waterproofs. A full list is provided at time of booking.
- Other Info
All meals and accommodation are included and a large amount of equipment is provided such as a knife, mug, sleeping bag and liner, sleeping mat, rucksack and liner, head torch, water bottle and all technical safety equipment. Activities vary per location.
