For anyone with a thirst for military aviation history, this breathtaking Tiger Moth tour of World War I Fovant Badges is a must. These emblems were carved into the chalky hillside above Fovant (just west of Salisbury) by the brave men who served on the front line in World War I and the inspiring landmarks are best seen from the sky. Setting off from historic Old Sarum Airfield in a genuine 1930's vintage Tiger Moth, experience the rush from the open cockpit while soaring over the stunning Fovant Valley, taking in unique aerial views of the many historic badges, crests and emblems which were carved into the hills by the armies of men who were later stationed to France. This moving experience includes sights you will remember for a lifetime.
Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period.
Minimum age is 16. Minimum height is 3'2'' and maximum height is 6'4''. Maximum weight is 16 stone. This experience is unsuitable for pregnant women and anyone suffering from epilepsy or back problems.
Flying is weather dependent and it is crucial to call the venue on the day. The Tiger Moth is a vintage open-cockpit plane and certain weather conditions may result in the flight being rescheduled.
Lasts around one hour including a briefing and 20 minute flight.

Briefings may be shared, but the flight is held on a one-to-one basis with a qualified instructor.
Spectators are welcome and the venue is equipped with toilet facilities and disabled access. Safety dictates that pets are not permitted at any airfield.
Wrap up warm, wear soft-soled shoes, bring sunglasses and tie back long hair. All specialist equipment is provided.
