
Bird of Prey Day in Herefordshire
Overview
Get up close and personal with a variety of majestic birds of prey on this intimate falconry day based in Herefordshire. Begin with a welcome briefing before being guided around the aviaries to meet and hold many of the centre's amazing birds - a great opportunity to get some snaps for the photo album! During the day, in addition to heading out for an informative hawk walk, receive bird of prey training from a seasoned falconer and learn a variety of tips and techniques. Once comfortable, fly a selection of owls, hawks and falcons to the glove and witness their sensational flight first-hand. To keep up energy levels, this full day experience also includes a tasty lunch which is taken in the company of the birds.

Seven days a week between March and November. - Participant Guidelines
Minimum age 13, under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult. Unfortunately, this experience is unsuitable for wheelchair users as the terrain is uneven and unpredictable. - Weather
Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date. - Duration
Lasts for around six hours. Please arrive at 9.45am for a prompt start at 10am. - Numbers on the Day
Share the experience with up to five other falconry enthusiasts. - Dress Code
Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is bad. Don't forget a camera and/or a pair of binoculars if you have them.
