Bermondsey Beer Mile Tasting for Two
There was a time when Bermondsey led the way in the production of Porter and export of Russian Stout. That came to an abrupt end in the late 1970s with the growing popularity of continental lager. Thankfully, the breweries are back with a vengeance, and Bermondsey Beer Mile is a shining showcase for London's love of craft beer. Learn about its history with this tour and tasting. Stop at three or more microbreweries and sample a drink in each. They could include Brew by Numbers, UBREW, Spartan and Fourpure, Bottler Shop and Partizan Brewery. The savvy guide leads the tasting and imparts titbits of beery wisdom. Discover a new favourite beer, explore some inviting taprooms and pubs, and come away with a reinforced appreciation for the amber nectar.
