Four Hour Tall Ship Sailing Trip for Two in Dorset
Much sea travel is mechanised nowadays, but there's still a chance to step aboard an antique tall ship off the Jurassic coast. Suitable for beginners and those who fancy themselves a dab hand at raising the mainsail, this four-hour sail sets off from Portland Harbour and heads towards the Jurassic Coastline and stunning Durdle Door. Passengers can either lean back and enjoy fresh sea air, views of the rolling waves and picturesque coastal landscapes, or get involved and discover just what it's like to weigh the anchor and even take the great helm themselves. Formerly a cargo ship, the majestic Moonfleet is a steel hulled Gaff Cutter from 1930 and a sight to be seen on the big blue sea.
