Based on the magnificent Kent and East Sussex Railway, this insightful experience offers the perfect introduction to locomotive driving in an idyllic rural setting. Begin at Rolvenden station for a breakfast bap, cup of tea and a short safety briefing, before firing up the engines and getting to work. During the session, learn essential steam locomotive driving skills from a seasoned train driver and put them into practice on a real train journey which passes through some of the Rother Valley's most stunning scenery. Also, enjoy a guided signal box tour and pay a visit to the locomotive yard and repair shed. To keep everyone fuelled up, lunch is included and the day ends with a certificate presentation. Everyone also takes home a t-shirt and mug.
