Kynren - An Epic Tale of England, Bronze Seating for Two
Kynren in Co Durham is a spectacular show that explores 2,000 years of fascinating history from the perspective of a son of a mining family, Arthur. This multi-award winning theatre spectacle explores the past, from the cries of war and the chaos of battle to the development of industry. Travel in time from the brutal battles fought by the Romans to the Industrial Revolution started by the Victorians. And new to 2019, there will be a pre-show Viking performance and an epic attack scene. Watch an array of spectacles, from choreography and unbelievable stunts to fantastic horse riding, special effects and stunning pyrotechnics. This show-stopping time-travel performance is a magnificent exploration of history. Prepare to be amazed!

Available on 11 dates from 29 June to 14 September 2019. There is no show on 3rd August. Vouchers are redeemable from the 22nd of February.
- Participant Guidelines
The show is suitable for families.
It's rare for the show to be cancelled even when raining. Please bring waterproofs in the event of bad weather and call the venue if in doubt.
Please expect to be at the venue for up to three hours. This includes 45 minutes to check-in and 90 minutes show time. The site opens at least 3 hours before each performance to give visitors the chance to enjoy some of our pre-show attractions including; Viking Village, 1940’s bar – Food Village, Georgian Shop and Animal Croft.

The amphitheatre which we call our Tribune seats 8,000 people.
- Dress Code
Casual outdoor clothing and footwear. It's advisable to bring a blanket and umbrella.
- Other Info
Only food and drink purchased onsite can be consumed in the Tribune. Please book a car parking in advance from the venue. It is £7.00 to park and £2.00 per person return to use our shuttle bus from the car parks.
