Kynren in Co Durham is this summer's must-see outdoor live-action spectacular, unique to the UK - it's an undeniable awe-inspiring show. Thanks to its fantastic special effects and powerful soundtrack, the audience is fully immersed at all times. It's an epic production that delves into 2,000 years of English history! This multi award-winning show explores the past from the perspective of Arthur who is the son of a mining family. Taking the audience from the chaos of war and the cries of battle to the excitement of industry, prepare to travel from the historic Roman times through to the revolutionary Victorian era through the medium of choreography, unbelievable stunts, special effects, fantastic pyrotechnics and spectacular horsemanship. During the action-packed scenes, prepare to be amazed. New for 2019, is a show-stopping Viking Village pre-show and an epic Viking battle. Platinum seating allows guests to sit centre production - putting the audience closer to the action.

Available on 11 dates from 29 June to 14 September 2019. There is no show on 3rd August. Vouchers are redeemable from the 22nd of February.
- Participant Guidelines
The show is suitable for families.
It's rare for the show to be cancelled even when raining. Please bring waterproofs in the event of bad weather and call the venue if in doubt.
Please expect to be at the venue for up to three hours. This includes 45 minutes to check-in and 90 minutes show time. The site opens at least 3 hours before each performance to give visitors the chance to enjoy some of our pre-show attractions including; Viking Village, 1940’s bar – Food Village, Georgian Shop and Animal Croft.

The amphitheatre which we call our Tribune seats 8,000 people.
- Dress Code
Casual outdoor clothing and footwear. It's advisable to bring a blanket and umbrella.
- Other Info
Only food and drink purchased onsite can be consumed in the Tribune. Please book car parking in advance from the venue. It is £7.00 to park and £2.00 per person return to use our shuttle bus from the car parks.
