Surrounded by acres of stunning Suffolk countryside in the Brett Valley, Lavenham Falconry is home to many magnificent species and provides a great introduction to birds of prey. During this three hour experience, learn about each bird in detail from a teacher, who also passes on a variety of interesting falconry facts and lets you see many of the centre's resident birds thriving in their natural habitat. Get up and close and personal with a variety of hawks and owls and fly them to the glove under the tuition of an experienced in-house falconer. Conclude with an incredible falcon flying demonstration as carried out by the experts. This hands-on falconry experience is a must for any avid birds of prey enthusiast.

  • Availability Description
    Seven days a week throughout the year, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
  • Participant Guidelines
    Minimum age six (children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult who has paid the spectator fee). Wheelchair users are welcome as the site is equipped with hard paths and disabled toilets.
  • Weather
    The venue calls by 8am the morning of the experience to confirm go ahead. However if travelling long distance, please call them the evening before to avoid any disappointment.
  • Duration
    Expect to be at the venue for around three hours.
  • Numbers on the Day
    Share the experience with up to five other bird of prey enthusiasts.
  • Dress Code
    Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots. Feel free to bring along a camera and/or a pair of binoculars.
