Lovelady Shield is a charming Georgian country house hotel on the banks of the River Nent, nestled in the foothills of Alston Moor. This romantic hotel in the Lake District has three acres of secluded gardens with unspoilt views of the surrounding countryside and walks and public footpaths right on the doorstep. You'll stay in a classic-grade double or twin room with en suite shower room. Full English breakfast for two is included. Lovelady Shield is the perfect base for exploring the Lake District, Hadrian's Wall, the North Pennines, the beautiful cathedral city of Durham or the Yorkshire Dales. But if you'd rather just take it easy, why not relax in front of a cosy log fire in the library or the lounge and unwind?
Monday - Thursday all year, excluding Christmas, New Year and Valentine's. Book as far in advance as possible (minimum eight weeks recommended). Subject to availability, you'll be offered a complimentary room upgrade on arrival.
Guests must be aged 18 or over.
This stay is for one night. Check from 2pm. Check out before 11am.
