Dip those toes into the wonderful world of scuba diving with this fun introduction in Cheshire, brilliant for two people thinking about doing their PADI Open Water Diving Course. Kick things off in the classroom at the New Horizons Diving Centre for a little theory and once ready, head over to the pool at Macclesfield Leisure Centre. Be introduced to your scuba equipment, get kitted up and hop into the heated swimming pool with a PADI qualified instructor to begin the practical session. Start in the shallows and once confident, head deeper underwater to try a few underwater skills and experience the sensational buzz of scuba diving first-hand - will you catch the diving bug?
At least one weekend date per month throughout the year, excluding the Christmas and New Year period.
Minimum age is 10. Participants must be in reasonable health and comfortable in water. Chronic asthmatics or those with a heart condition are unlikely to be able to take part. Participation is subject to completion of a medical declaration.
Lasts around two hours with one hour spent in the pool,

Spectators are welcome and the leisure centre has around 100 seats overlooking the pool.
Please bring a swimming costume, towel and a t-shirt each to wear in the water, and 20p for a locker. All other equipment is supplied, including tank, mask and any other scuba gear.
