A dumper truck racing experience at Diggerland, Yorkshire may appear to be a daunting proposition but all driving enthusiasts will marvel at the opportunity to power this agile, one-tonne beast. If you can handle this mean machine the best by beating the clock around the specially designed circuit and avoid driver penalties, you will qualify for the final and go head-to-head with the other fast drivers on the day. Dumper truck racing for two is a great way to let your hair down and relieve undue stress.
Runs approximately one Saturday evening a month between May and October, but days may vary throughout the year.
Minimum age is 17. No license needed, however driving knowledge is preferred.
Racing may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice or heavy rain, when driving might become dangerous. Call the venue if in any doubt.
Lasts around two and a half hours. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time for a welcome address.
Numbers on the Day
A maximum of 28 people take part. Everyone competes in two heats racing against the clock.
Feel free to bring as many guests to spectate as you like - no charge! Undercover seating is available if it's raining, but they'll only be able to watch all the action from outside. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Dress warmly and wear flat shoes, or boots if it's wet day. The event is held on rough terrain and if it's been raining you'll probably get a bit muddy.
