Please note that minimum height restrictions apply on some rides
If you are looking for a day out with a difference, you could do worse than checking out Diggerland, the nation's favourite digger and JCB based theme park, owned by excavator hire firm HE Services. Partake in rides such as Spindizzy, operated by a member of Diggerlands staff team (they are always on hand to ensure safety and smooth running) with no computers involved so anything could happen! Giant Diggers offer up some of Diggerland's heaviest machines and as a result, are always popular with budding construction work drivers. You can also partake in Dippy Ducks - a game where three ducks need rescuing from a pond using a hook specially added to the JCB arm - a novel take on the traditional fairground ride.
The park is open at weekends and bank holidays from February to the end of October and seven days a week during local school holidays. It closes during November, December and January.
Children (under 13) must be accompanied and supervised by their guardian(s). Height restrictions apply on all rides/drives and those under 90cm are too small. Some children may also need to be accompanied on some rides/drives by an adult.
Diggerland is predominantly an outdoor experience but, although rare, they may restrict some rides in the event of very poor weather.
The park opens at 10am and guests are free to stay until 5pm (or 4pm in February).
Any additional adults or children (aged 3 and over) can pay on the day to enter Diggerland. The parks do not allow entry of dogs, with the exception of guide dogs. Why not take your own picnic?
Please dress for comfort and wear suitable footwear such as trainers or wellies. There is a chance that you may get a little muddy, so bringing a change of footwear is a good idea.
Diggerland does not permit the use of bbqs. Although not included in the price, empty tummies can be refuelled at The Dig Inn, with a selection of snacks, burgers, salads etc (be aware credit cards are not accepted in the food area).
