For anyone with a passion for food, nothing beats this cookery course at Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's famous River Cottage HQ - as seen on TV. The culinary haven of one of the UK's most beloved cooks, River Cottage HQ provides a country cooking experience like no other. Begin in true River Cottage style with a tractor ride to the farmhouse for tea, coffee, treats and a chat with the day's cooking tutor. Spend the rest of the day learning a host of priceless cookery skills. Partake in five different cookery sessions including bread, pudding, meat, veg and fish, learning tricks of the trade as you go. Put newfound skills into practice by making a hearty three-course supper before sitting down as a group to tuck in at the end.
At least twice a month throughout the year (could be any day of the week).
Minimum age is 12 (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over). There are disabled facilities but this working farm has some difficult to negotiate areas (please check when booking).
The cookery course starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm. Arrive by 9.20am in time to take a tractor down to the farm.
