Thames Rocket Powerboating and Afternoon Tea for Two in London
Jump on a high-speed powerboat known as a Thames Rocket and get ready for a waterborne sightseeing experience! An experienced skipper will take guests down the Thames, pointing out some of London's most fascinating buildings and landmarks, and sharing anecdotes and facts. Then it's time to speed up and enjoy an adrenaline-filled ride as this seriously nimble craft is put through its paces! Once back on terra firma, head to the H10 London Waterloo Hotel just a 20 minute walk away, and be seated in its famous Sky Bar. Looking out over London's skyline and historic buildings including Big Ben and St. Paul's, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea washed down with fine teas and infusions. - Availability Description
Thames Rockets trips are seven days a week March - October, and Thursday - Sunday the rest of the year. Afternoon tea is available weekends throughout the year, excluding Christmas and New Year.
- Participant Guidelines
Alcohol is part of this experience so the minimum age is 18. Please note there is no alcohol served on the Thames Rockets powerboat, only at the hotel bar.
The weather shouldn't affect this experience as trips go ahead in virtually all conditions, but please do call the venue on the morning of your experience if in any doubt.
The powerboat ride lasts around one hour and fifteen minutes, including around 50 minutes on the water. Afternoon tea is served between midday and 4.30pm. Please expect to be at the Sky Bar for up to two hours.

- Dress Code
For the boating, wear flat-soled shoes. Lifejackets are provided (you may get wet), please secure glasses with a safety strap to make sure they aren't blown away.

All skippers are commercially qualified, with years of experience driving high-speed RIBs. These experiences do not need to be had on the same date.
