Push the pedal to the metal with a fast and furious endurance karting experience for five. It makes a great day out for a group of competitive friends! Rye House is where Lewis Hamilton started out and the venue provides a real high-octane thrill for motor racing fans. Kick off with a safety briefing before being kitted out in the latest race wear. Next, each go for a 15 minute practise session to get acquainted with the track. Once ready, take part in a thrilling two hour endurance race against other teams - each complete a series of jaw-dropping laps in a 360 cc racing kart (a total of 135 minutes per team) in a bid to become champions! Afterwards trophies, a bottle of bubbly and lap printouts are awarded to the winning team.
Runs at least once a week (could be a weekend or a weekday) throughout the year.
Minimum age is 16 (under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Minimum height is 5' and maximum is 6'6''. Maximum weight is 18 stone. Unsuitable for anyone with a back or neck complaint or for pregnant women.
The venue is not weather dependent but should the organisers feel conditions on the day are at all dangerous, a full credit would always be offered.
Lasts around four hours in total, with two hours and fifteen minutes of driving split between the team.
Numbers on the Day
Each team can have a maximum of five drivers, but as long as there are at least two drivers in the team it is possible to take part. There are a maximum of 26 karts on the circuit at any one time.
Unlimited numbers of spectators are welcome to come along, cheer and make use of the on-site cafe and club facilities, which include a balcony, grand stand, paddock enclosure, adventure playground, crazy golf course and laser tag.
Racing suits and helmets are provided. Wear flat shoes and remove any scarves when driving.
After the racing, feel free to relax in the hospitality suite for a drink with your team.
