A Steam Dream without Steam can't be more disappointing than this! And to be told by station Tannoy just minutes before the train's departure was gutting. Hundreds of people were devastated. A class 1 FIASCO. A lot of money and effort totally wasted and no back-up plan. I'll think twice before considering another trip - if I ever do!
Sadly, not as advertised on the tin.
Excellent food; friendly, attentive staff and punctual trains made for a superb day visit to Stratford-upon-Avon. With the locomotive, No. 61306 "Mayflower", speeding along at its permitted 75mph, the whole journey was a great experience. I would recommend it without hesitation.
We could not fault the day-everything was on time and the staff were excellent
