Take the reins and pilot the plane during the flight
Experience flying with an incredible 30 minute light aircraft flight. Begin on solid ground with a full safety briefing, including an explanation on fundamental flying techniques. Next, hop aboard a dual-controlled two-seater training craft (either a Tecnam, Piper PA28 or Cessna 152) for a trial flight with an experienced instructor. Then take to the skies with finesse for an amazing 30 minute flight, taking in the picturesque views as they unfold below. The teacher may even hand over the controls so that as the pupil on the day, you can also feel the rush of piloting a plane.
Seven days a week, excluding Christmas Day. Due to the popularity of this experience, we recommend booking least four weeks in advance (even earlier for summer weekends).
Maximum weight is 15 stone. Maximum height is 6'3''. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced by all passengers on the day or they wont be permitted to fly.
Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.
Lasts around 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration.
Numbers on the Day
The briefing might be shared. The flight is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.
Spectators are welcome to watch the take off and landing.
Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence. To qualify for a PPL 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours solo flying is required.
