Take to the open sea for a unique sailing session and learn how to handle a high performance sailing keelboat with professional tuition. Start with an introductory briefing before donning waterproofs and life jackets to get ready for action. Next, head into open water in a world-class SB20 keelboat as part of a tight knit crew and work as a team to control the ropes, man the deck, handle the hull and even take the helm as honorary captain. The feeling of gliding through the across the sea in a professional sailing vessel is one which must be experienced to be believed and, having dipped your toes in the water, you are definitely likely to want to go sailing again.
Weekend dates from April to mid October. Book at least four weeks in advance (please be aware that bookings are taken up to a maximum of three months ahead).
Minimum age is 12 (those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult). This experience isn't suitable for anyone with a serious back or heart complaint, pregnant women or non-swimmers.
Sailing is a weather-dependent activity. It's essential to call the venue for a weather check between 5pm and 7pm on the day before the experience to check weather conditions.
Lasts up to two and a half hours, including a briefing and around an hour and 45 minutes on the water.

Share the experience with up to two other keen sailors, plus a qualified instructor.
Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the shore. Tell them to bring a camera and a pair of binoculars.
Dress warmly and bring waterproofs and a change of clothes. Bear in mind that there is a high wind-chill factor aboard the boat. Wear non-slip shoes (e.g. trainers or deck shoes). An old pair of sunglasses/ski goggles are useful if it is windy.
