Make it an occasion to remember with a night of secluded luxury at Spitbank Fort. Originally built in 1878 to protect Britain from invasion, the fort has since been transformed into a boutique hotel situated the middle of the Solent, which boasts unrivalled views and exceptional accommodation. Arrive at the departure lounge for tea, coffee and a 'tot of rum' before travelling by boat to your luxurious home away from home. Spend one night at the fort and enjoy lunch, a fully-guided tour, a champagne reception with canapes in the Crow's Nest and an evening meal with coffee. The next morning, sit down to breakfast and take home a hamper which includes two bottles of Laurent Perrier champagne and treats including caviar and gentleman's relish.
Thursdays and Fridays throughout the year, excluding Bank Holidays, Christmas, New Year's and Valentine's Day.
Guests aged 18 and over are welcome. The Forts aren't suitable for the elderly or those with restricted mobility, advise of any mobility issues at the time of booking to see if needs can be accommodated. Pets (excluding guide dogs) are not allowed.
It's unlikely that the weather will affect this stay, but getting to and from land may be difficult in extreme conditions.
Depart for the fort at 11.30am and head back to mainland at 10am the following morning.
Numbers on the Day
With only eight boutique suites, a maximum 16 people can stay on Spitbank Fort.
Please dress in smart casual attire for dinner.
The Fort is a very popular for events and special hire so please be aware that bookings can be cancelled at short notice. Cancellations can occur if minimum numbers aren't met. In these rare cases, the hotel would make contact arrange an alternate date.
