
Mountain Climbing in Glencoe
Overview
Got a head for heights, nerves of steel and a love of the great outdoors? Then head to the Highlands for a day climbing one of the world's classic mountaineering routes. With the services of a private guide, you'll tackle a suitable route in the climber's paradise of Glencoe. It will be challenging, exhausting and occasionally nerve-racking - but also uplifting, inspiring and breathtakingly beautiful. After being fully equipped by an experienced guide who will place all ropes and protection, enjoy the fresh air and spectacular surroundings in complete safety. Back at the National Ice Centre receive a mug of hot chocolate.

Available all year but winter climbing requires previous experience and is completely weather dependent. Please allow at least six weeks advance notice for weekend bookings. - Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 16. Participants should have good endurance and be able to keep moving all day on uneven ground. Please be aware that you are required to sign and complete a disclaimer on the day before you can participate in your experience. - Weather
Your experience will be tailored to suit conditions on the day. Extreme weather would mean either climbing at the indoor centre or postponing. You must call the venue the day before your booking to check on climbing conditions. - Duration
A mountain day can last for up to ten hours, but seven to eight is more typical. The Ice Factor can arrange a shorter, easier day on request. - Numbers on the Day
This is a one-to-one experience for just you and your guide. - Dress Code
