
Indoor Rock Climbing
Overview
This is the perfect way to try out rock climbing, even if you're a complete stranger to crampons. Using a state-of-the-art indoor climbing wall, you'll learn the ropes without any chance of your climb being ruined by downpours or midge attacks. First off you'll be briefed on safety and basic climbing techniques, before you learn the fundamentals of abseiling including how to tie in, belay, and the moves you need to scale the aretes, slabs, overhangs and grooves on your way to the top - all with constant encouragement and supervision from your expert instructors. You're in for a challenging, exciting and fun time - and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.

- Availability Description
Between 10am - 4pm on Wed, Thurs, Sat and Sun. Allow at least four weeks advance notice for weekend bookings. Carry on climbing for the day and pay member prices (must be competent climbing unsupervised). - Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is seven. Parental consent is required for under 18s. There are no weight or height restrictions. Please be aware that you are required to sign and complete a disclaimer on the day before you can participate in your experience. - Duration
Session lasts between one hour and one and a half hours, depending on group size. This includes kit talks and safety briefing. - Numbers on the Day
A 6:1 ratio of clients to instructors gives the best input and most climbing. - Dress Code
Please wear tight-fitting sportswear if you have it. Hire of all climbing equipment including footwear is included. - Other Info
At 1,200 square metres, this is the UK's highest articulated rock climbing wall, featuring a variety of angles to suit beginner and intermediate climbers.
