Birdwatching Cruise on a Thames Sailing Barge in Ipswich
Set out from Ipswich Dock in Suffolk for an interesting and relaxing birdwatching cruise. Ipswich Dock, once home to a large fleet of working barges, is now filled with top cafes and shops. Board a traditional barge before heading under the Orwell Bridge and going out on to the river. Experts from the Essex Wildlife Trust are on board to help spot and identify an impressive amount of wildfowl, migrants and waders as you pass Rivers Orwell and Stour, with many large country houses on their banks.
