Imagine semi-darkness, music pumping out of speakers, dry ice in the air and huge projection screens showing fellow jumpers in action. Bungee jumping has gone rock'n'roll! Begin by climbing 143 steps up the 'Face of Steel' to the 150ft jump zone. Get into a harness (with thorough safety checks) and get ready to go. After some words of encouragement, and a few very deep breaths, it's bungee time! Plummet towards the ground before the bungee rope reaches its return point and ping back towards the rafters. After a few more bounces, get lowered back to terra firma. Then after a breather, get back up there and do it all over again! All equipment is included, and you can buy merchandise and photos of the jump on the day.
Weekend dates around once a month throughout the year.
Min age 14. Under 16's need a parent/guardian's signature. Max weight is 120kg (18.9st), waist size between 40cm - 125cm. Over 50's must produce a doc's certificate. MUST be in good health and inform of any medical conditions beforehand.
After registering, a bungee time slot is allocated and the jump usually takes place within an hour. Safety checks, briefing and harnessing take around three minutes and the jump itself lasts just a few heart stopping seconds.
Spectators are welcome - get them to bring along a camera or video.
Wear long trousers rather than a skirt (you'll be upside down!). Glasses and hard contact lenses must be removed prior to jumping. The venue isn't heated so dress up warm in winter.
Conditions that will prevent you from jumping include high blood pressure, heart condition, dizziness/epilepsy, pregnancy, asthma, neurological condition and diabetes.
